For the past 4 years about..my now " normal " temp is 98.3. However when I exercise it will go up to 98.4 for a short time..so will warm you up for a tad afterwards. Guest guest Posted November 22, 2000 Report Share Posted November 22, 2000 I have had night sweats for maybe twenty years so far...the only thing I can suggest is to be sure you wear all cotton jammies.no polyester! And, try to get a cotton pillowcase. When I get up at night I flip the pillow before going back to sleep. Also..I have found that my perspiration is tinged with I assume bibirubin or something..as I have to use Washing Soda in my wash to keep it from getting a yellowish tinge to the pillow cases. Be sure not to get in your eyes!!! I've been to several doctors and they see both normal and high readings. It's been inconsistent readings to say the least. The eye problem - the retina specialist was looking into the medicines I take, but I have not heard from him either. Frustrating, very frustrating. Guest guest Posted November 22, 2000 Report Share Posted November 22, 2000 joanne...... i have buddah belly now...i think it makes me wiser.... when i had ascites they didn`t need an ultra sound to detect it.... i looked very pregnant (and I`m a man) my belly button extended out a good 2 ins. and the skin (yellow) showed blue veins all over.... actually the fluid buids up in your abdomenal cavity not the stomach. i had edema so bad i couldn`t wear my shoes. I too took aldactone and lasix both Thanks for confirming my question about Walter (Sweetness) Payton. I hope Aumesh`s son has a much better fate. I`m praying for him. It is a very definite *version* that eye doctors can tell from 'normal' cataracts. I think there is another disease that I have regarding my eyes. I already have had lattice degeneration on my retina. I was watched for a year then the degeneration was great enough to require the retina doc to create a 'scar' mote around the degeneration so if it started to tear I wouldn't lose my sight in that eye. It took a little over 400 'shots' of aragon green laser 'burns' in my right eye to make a circle around the degeneration. Now, it seems there is more degeneration on my macular. We are now playing the waiting game again. Drug cause on this degeneration - probably not. I went through the first degeneration before even starting the predisone by 2 months. Toward the end, the doctor had to count backward from 10 with each 'shot' just to help out. It also felt like my eyeball was cooking. It really hurt when he had to burn in a scar over the nerves. But he warned me ahead of time. This is something that I don't look forward to anytime in the near future. But, he saved my eyesight. It was worth it. Guest guest Posted November 23, 2000 Report Share Posted November 23, 2000 Jerry, Randy had cataract surgery in July from a prednisone induced cataract. He has 20/20 in that eye now and all is okay. They tell us the chances of him getting another cataract in the other eye is just a matter of when it will occur not if it will occur. Randy will be taking prednisone for the rest of his life due to the AIH. He is currently taking 5mg/day. Maybe in a couple of years, we may look at lowering it some but for now he will stay at 5mg. I take both meds and the doctors always ask me how my eyes are feeling, and I get exams every 6 to 8 months. Thats wise if any of you have Lupus, Sjorens, on top of aih or alone.
