Do your palpitations occur when you have changed your position,

like when you lay down to go to sleep? Or have been sitting for a while

and then stand up?

Mine occur only at night as well, when I go to bed.

But, I spend the majority of my day on my feet.

My doc suspects that it is just a reaction to the

difference in circulation. It calms down pretty quick.

But, it occurs sometimes first thing in the morning

too, and I have read that it can be related to having

LOW blood pressure, which I do. Most of the time

you wouldnt know I'm alive!

My Naturopath told me to watch for them at rest & if I had them it was a

sign to cut back the Armour.

Last night they began when I lay down to sleep. When I lay on my

right side they seem worse and then reduce when I turn over or

change position. When DH changes position, the movement will start

one sometimes. I finally got up last night and went to the

recliner, ate a banana and they eased off. Then early this morning,

my whole chest shook for several beats. I tried to grab DH's hand

so he could feel and he said he couldn't feel anything! Have not

had them during the day time, only at night. I haven't taken any

thyroid meds since January 9. That was when they got intense. I

had had some mild flutters the 2 nights before and had taken

synthroid at that time since November 26 after a tsh of 6.1. TSH

was retested the day I saw the dr. and was 4.4. That was almost a

week after I quit the meds.

My BP is running 130/80 with a pulse between 80 and 90. It was

about the same when I got up last night.

It's really scary the way my chest has been shaking. Very intense.

Dr. wanted me to take more synthroid, said it could be too low,

possible? I haven't taken any at all now for several days. Not

having any other hypo symptoms either. Joan

OK this makes sense. On my tests in November T4 was 10.1, high end

of " normal " and T3 was 27, low end of normal. Any way I can get the

T3 up without taking it as the hormone? Dr. indicated he did not

believe in taking T3. I may be looking for one of those top docs!

I took the synthroid again this morning after 3 weeks without. I

have used tyrosine and vitamins and minerals in between. Felt

pretty good with them, they just didn't relieve the heart problems.

I have been cold all day and craving food. I had not done that

without the synthroid. I just know the dr. will not refer or change

what he thinks I need unless I have tried the synthroid again. I

just changed my insurance so am not real sure if I have to have a

referral. The only local cardio dr. needs a referral. Since I have

not been under treatment for hypo and had clinical signs for at

least 15 years, it's possible there could be cardio damage. Someone

asked about gallbladder, it's gone, 3 years ago. Joan
