Guest guest
call the office ask for a copy of your tests results to be faxed to a number (a friend, one of those services, anywhere you know a fax) tell them you need it for insurance--they will do this for you---or tell them you will pick up a copy if they can't fax it or mail it to you!!! the only way you will know what is going on is to get that copy you must be low in t3 if he wants to increase it --but with heart palps something is not right--maybe too much t4--but without test results we know nothing. if you did better on armour tell him and maybe he will switch you back benadryl will give you heart palps too--not a good idea at all--bad idea here---all antihistamines speed you up not slow you down. this will raise you blood pressure and pulse--- It's a no -no for thyroid patients to use antihistamines. Guest guest
Your plea sounds like the one I issued last week. I have had some good days this week so will tell you what I have done. This is only what has worked for me. No dr. was involved. I had taken synthroid for 6 weeks when the hyper symptoms surfaced with heart palps and other things. I have now been completely off the synthroid for 3 weeks. I read the online nutrition sites and decided to try some vitamins. My multi gives a very small amount of potassium and magnesium. I started by supplementing them a little, breaking a standard tablet in half or fourths. I also read that selinium is needed for the body to convert t4, synthroid, to t3, usable thyroid hormone. I added some selinium to my list. I was basing my decision on my gut feeling and what I had read. I also have a good scientific background. I am watching what I eat, trying to balance electrolytes. A banana stopped the palps one night. The last 2 nights I have slept well without palps and felt good during the day. I have taken my multi vitamin, 1200 mg of calcium plus D, (1/2) of each; vit b complex, magnesium, vit c, selinium ; a whole potassium and last night a fish oil complex. I have taken 1/2 of a 500mg tyrosine and used my natural progesterone. When I look at my November tests, I was in the upper range for t4 when tested but in the lower range of normal for t3. I think Ihave been deficient in selinium and not converting what was available. That plus the soy I have used for 4 years elevated the TSH without a lot of other symptoms. I am going to stay with this for a while and see what happens. Joan > Hi All! I need your help again. I have been on 100 mcg of levoxyl and 10 mcg > of cytomel for almost 4 weeks. Guest guest
what about natural antihistamines like quercetin? Re: Hyper???
