Guest guest
I'm sorry I am asking a hundred questions but just trying to figure out what is wrong with you and this tsh is high--I would get myself some armour or thyroid glandulars from a health food store or on-line and try it and see. It sounds like you are not getting in ANY T3 into your cells----so it's probably a conversion problem---and if it is---please get some selenium-- Up to 200mcg one a day---super B's vitamins--- one a day, mulitple vitamins one a day---2-3 grams of C a day--you really need more C to get rid of that infection in your body--I would dose up to 4 grams---always with food and water!!!One with each meal. You have to do something and if T4 makes you so sick--maybe even T3 alone and that you have to get from a doctor or overseas. I bought it once in Europe, but you have to know what you are doing---which is why I would rather you take it easier and try the thyroid multi- glandular first---either thyrodine---or armour or any thyroid glandular and see if you don't feel better----IF YOU SWEAT and HEART RACES ---stop taking and drink fluids if your pulse is out of control and Blood pressure and fluids and food is not working get to an ER!!! I am not a doctor here and only can give you what I can spit back from memory of what I have read!!!! and even that can fail me!!!! I would get to a another doctor but it sounds like you can't if you are self testing. Your adrenals maybe fine, maybe on the weak side but ok---but your thyroid is off for sure with a tsh at 5----you need to try some T3!!!! The dose on this is very little at first---5mcgs in the morning and 5mcgs at night---you take cytomel slowly into your body and work up to a higher dose until you feel better---the usual dose for most people is 20mcgs a day I believe. You have to be very careful with this --it's fast acting but also leaves your body fast too!!! And it can cause the heart to race, sweating, pulse racing ect.---don't ever take too much of it at one time until you titrate upward. (work yourself up to a higher dose until you feel well) but never take a lot of this at one time!!!!!!!!!! Being paralyzed because you have not exercised is completely BULL.--- this is from a lack of T3 in your cells!!!!!!! JUST MY OPINION---tina > > > Well Here are my test results if anyone can help me interpret them. > > They were sent my mail at home tests so I dont know if that makes > > them inaccurate. Guest guest
I agree with Tina; it does sound like you need to try some T3, either by adding Cytomel or by switching to Armour. You are going through such a rough time, and I'm so sorry about that. I wish I had some good suggestions or ideas for you, but I don't. all I could suggest is try to see a doctor. have your sugar levels been tested? (glucose, insulin). problems in this area can make you feel like you've been run over by a mack truck. sorry I don't know what else to suggest. Hang in there and keep in touch. Guest guest
Hi Kim, Tina is right...T3 might make the difference. It helped me a lot! Are you taking any other medication? I'm asking because I wonder if they might be interfering with absorption of your thyroid meds. Are you taking supplements? Tina's suggestion of adding selenium is a good one. If you don't want to take the supplements you could eat about 4 Brazil nuts every day to get some more through diet. Are you eating okay? Are you getting adequate nutrition/engery? I wish I knew how to help you, but I really don't know how to do that. Have you had your sugar levels tested? CBC? ANA antibodies? I'm just wondering if there's something going on other than thyroid problems. Are you self-medication or do you have a doc you go to? Sorry I can't remember. If it were me going through what you're going through, I would have my sugar levels checked, check my anti-TPO and ANA antibodies, and have a CBC run. If I wasn't comfortable with the doc I had, I would try to find another. This health stuff can get way over my head even though I do try to be really informed. Hang in there...we care about you and do want to try to help! Hugs, Sheila tina83862 <tina83862@...> wrote: Now I know why I couldn't find them--they had no subject listed. Your test results appear to be in the middle ranges of these studies, so it's not telling me much. Everything with your period must be working fine --right? But you are very tired and can't get out of bed and having muscle pains. Did a doctor give you T4?? Did he diagnose you? And what did he say? cortisol is suppose to be higher in the morning and it wears off a bit in the daytime--(even though this number is low) the second one it appears to be in line with what the lab studies suggest. http://drrind.com/scorecardmatrix.asp have you looked at this to figure out where you might fit in?? Just in case. Have you been ill in the past month or so? Dhea looks good too. So you need to tell us everything that is going on---too difficult to figure out. Do you have any thyroid tests for us to look at? Do you have any other health issues--how is you temperture and blood pressure---take them. You really need to get some help. Your female hormones seem ok, like I said in the middle ranges. So what are your symptoms besides the pain. My mom has thyroid as well and since she finally added in some t3 her pain in her legs is going away. Don't worry about Hashimoto's right now --I know I told you to figure out what kind of thryoid problem---but you need to get T4, t3 and free t3-free t3 tests to determine if you even have a thyroid problem. Please try and give us more info--I am sure everyone wants to help you!!! tina -- In hypothyroidism , " Kim " <kckim@c...> wrote: > Well Here are my test results if anyone can help me interpret them.
