Guest guest
My 1st post....I'm thankful to have been led to Bee's support group! The result from my blood candida albicans anti-body test was 4,300 (normal range = 3,200 or less). The result from my stool sample was +1. Can you tell me what the significance of these tests are and what the numbers may mean? b
Guest guest
Hi, >>>My 1st post....I'm thankful to have been led to Bee's support group! ==>That's great you found us! Good for you. >>>The result from my blood candida albicans anti-body test was 4,300 (normal range = 3,200 or less). The result from my stool sample was +1. Can you tell me what the significance of these tests are and what the numbers may mean? ==>Sorry, I can't tell you specifically because most people with candida have normal ranges on both of these tests. The fact that your anti-body test registers is an indication your immune system is still operating because it is fighting your candida, as indicated by the antibodies it is producing. Most candida sufferers don't register antibodies because their immune system has gone into apathy and is unable to build up antibodies against the candida. That's why this test is unreliable for detecting most people's candida. So good for you! You have candida, but your immune system is still fighting it. The best, Bee
Guest guest
Bee- This brings up a question from me. A few months ago I had an ANA?? Titre test which showed me to be borderline for Lupus. Could that have been from the yeast?? I was in the worst break out that I've ever had at the time. Provided I can make it in to the doctor, are there specific tests I should request? He will do whatever I ask him to do, which is a nice thing in a doc. Pattie > Hi, > > >>>My 1st post....I'm thankful to have been led to Bee's support > group! > > ==>That's great you found us! He will do whatever I ask him to do, which is a nice thing in a doc. ===>Have the doctor do a fasting blood test of all the nutrients possible. Also see if your doctor can order vitamin and mineral shots for you, i.e. vitamin C, vitamin B, esp. B12, and calcium/magnesium. B vitamins are put in the behind because they can burn, but some are put in the upper arm and some intravenous. Pattie, what supplements are you taking? Guest guest
I'm taking a super anti-oxidant, a B50 vitamin, Vitamin C, acidopholus and caprilic acid and of course, extra Vitamin E topically on the bad spots. I'm sure I'm screwing up the dosing, because I'm thinking some of these need to be taken at specific times and apart from each other, but I never could get a straight answer from the very old man at the health food store. Also, I was wondering what you know about topical Emu oil. I have a tube of that and it didn't seem to do too much, but maybe I needed to give it more time.
