Guest guest
I have been searching and searching for supplements which do not contain additives, especially stearates which according to Dr. Ron Schmid in his article, " Dietary Supplments: What the Industry does NOT want you to know " (http://www.westonaprice.org/healthissues/supplements.html): " Nearly all supplements contain stearates, manufacturing agents used as lubricants to speed up production...Magnesium stearate and stearic acid are lubricants added to raw materials in supplements so that production machinery will run at maximum speeds....They are coated with shellac (listed in the ingredients as " natural glaze " ) or vegetable coating (derived from corn, to which many people are sensitive)...These additives have a number of effects, including decreased absorption... " I have found two supplements on the internet which appear not to have these additives and fillers: Freeda Vitamins (although these are coated) and Lessman's who sells on HSN. Does anyone have any experience with either of these supplement manufactures or know of any other vitamins which are additive free? What about food-based vitamins? (such as All One) Has anyone tried All One's CALCIUM COMPLEX which has 1,000mgs of Calcium from Calcium Citrate and 500mgs of elemental Magnesium? (http://www.all-one.com/en/supplements/calciumpowder.htm) Or their Vitamin C Crystals (Ascorbic Acid) (http://www.all-one.com/en/supplements/vitaminc_crystals.htm) I am spending way too much time trying to find " suitable " supplements. Any comments or suggestions would be welcome. Thank you! - Ann
