Guest guest
yeah, good advice. the 100 degree warm soup for the stomach makes good sense. i can't take anything too cold anyway (unless its an extremely hot day). so when you heated your veggie juice, would you heat it just a little, slowly, over a very low heat? i'd try that but i'll want to be really sure i wouldn't overheat it & kill all that good stuff. speaking of ginger and garlic: my favorite topping for salmon is to grate fresh ginger, add minced fresh garlic, stir in some sea salt & cracked pepper & form a paste. smear that on the salmon & broil until it just gets a few shades darker. then finish in a 350 oven if needed. if you crave a sweeter version of that mixture, add a couple drops of stevia extract. i love pau d'arco AND peppermint tea! happy juicing ~ susan > > Hi , When I first found out that I had Candida I changed my > diet and > > became so dreadfully tired and weak. Guest guest
Yes I heat the soup quite slowly in a double boiler. I try to keep it " alive " as possible (under 118 degrees) but letting the heat break it down a little. This is good for people who are trying to add raw foods to their diets. The salmon sounds very tasty -- I would have to eliminate the cracked pepper but I'll experiment with some other spices. (It sounds weird but sometimes I use cayenne and cinnamon for heat with a little depth.) Hope it's a good Monday!!! ~Robin _____ From: chefsuz2 [mailto:thenaturalkitchen@...] Sent: Sunday, June 06, 2004 11:14 PM Subject: [ ] Re: Fresh green vegetable juices yeah, good advice. the 100 degree warm soup for the stomach makes good sense. i can't take anything too cold anyway (unless its an extremely hot day). so when you heated your veggie juice, would you heat it just a little, slowly, over a very low heat? i'd try that but i'll want to be really sure i wouldn't overheat it & kill all that good stuff. speaking of ginger and garlic: my favorite topping for salmon is to grate fresh ginger, add minced fresh garlic, stir in some sea salt & cracked pepper & form a paste. smear that on the salmon & broil until it just gets a few shades darker. then finish in a 350 oven if needed. if you crave a sweeter version of that mixture, add a couple drops of stevia extract. i love pau d'arco AND peppermint tea! happy juicing ~ susan > > Hi , When I first found out that I had Candida I changed my > diet and > > became so dreadfully tired and weak. Guest guest
i eat cayenne on just about everything! i poured a little pile of it on my salmon plate yesterday and would dip each bite. i love it! cayenne and cinnamon sounds like a good combo. what do you like to season with that mix? > > > Hi , When I first found out that I had Candida I changed my > > diet and > > > became so dreadfully tired and weak. Guest guest
So far I'm using the spices on just about anything, from meats like pork tenderloin to the flax seed crackers. I'm just starting and so still very much experimenting. I'm just finding that since eliminating black pepper I've tried to remember to include the spices more. I'm using things like cinnamon, garam masala, cumin, cardamom even a touch of curry... and even in the cookies I make for others. It's my new " thing " . By the way, since I have a " free day " I decided to create my perfect itinerary for my " menu " idea. Here it is so far: Upon awakening I took FloraStor, glutamine, and protease. Next I made hot lemon juice water w/ cayenne. Then, while I was boiling water for the tea I make for the whole day, I happily mixed in the Vitamixer my one half apple I'm allowing myself per day with fresh almond milk I made it with 10 soaked almonds and about a 1/4 cup of water. I added a sachet of VSL3 probiotics to the mixture. (I made extra almond milk with about 20 soaked almonds total and used half in the morning and will use half later when I want to take more probiotics...) Now I go on a mile and a half walk with the doggie, then bath/meditate and then make breakfast. This morning will be scrambled eggs in coconut oil and about two cups of alfalfa sprouts drizzled with rice bran oil mad Celtic salt. I've been sprouting like mad so I have plenty and they're just so fresh and alive they've gotta be good. When I'm done, I've decided to not be tempted to eat something else because I'm still hungry. Already I can tell it's easier to follow this plan instead of deciding which food or supplement to take as I go along. I think it will help give me more time to do other things instead of thinking about what-to-eat. Maybe I can more easily track allergies and rotate foods this way as I'm notorious for not writing things done afterward. Here I go! ~Robin _____ From: chefsuz2 [mailto:thenaturalkitchen@...] Sent: Monday, June 07, 2004 8:26 AM Subject: [ ] Re: Fresh green vegetable juices i eat cayenne on just about everything! i poured a little pile of it on my salmon plate yesterday and would dip each bite. i love it! cayenne and cinnamon sounds like a good combo. what do you like to season with that mix? > > > Hi , When I first found out that I had Candida I changed my > > diet and > > > became so dreadfully tired and weak.
