Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 hi kim look for bacon which is cured simply with salt, or lightly smoked. avoid buying anything with added preservatives, flavorings or sugars. no nitrites, nitrates, etc. sausages should be fresh, with nothing more than ground meat, spices, herbs and salt. small local butchers are a good place to find these, or some health food stores carry larger producers brands like Niman Ranch bacon. happy hunting ~ suz > What kind of bacon is okay? What should I look for in a bacon. And sausages? > > Mmmmm... Bacon! I'm going shopping tomorrow! > > Kim Quote
