Even after they had had more than 2 treatments, it still took them a bit longer to kick in. I PRAY this works for you! As for the fatigue? I still get that bad! Guest guest Posted September 5, 2000 Report Share Posted September 5, 2000 About the swelling. This is why I asked if they gave you sodium chloride along with the treatment. Besides the Remicade, did they hook up any other bag to the IV? I remember about a week after my first treatment, I swelled up like a balloon. But I don't know if it was the sodium chloride or not. It only happened the first time. And since it didn't happen until a week later, we didn't worry. Also bcs I think it was just PMS and retaining water. It was just really bad. Can you go through and tell me everything they did to you. I want to compare your experience with mine. Since they didn't give you Benedryl, I am going to fight them on that. I HATE the Benedryl! And I haven't had any side effects, so I see no reason to take the stuff. I think they just want to put everyone to sleep so they have some quiet! Another question. After every treatment they make me stay an additional 30 minutes just in case I have some sort of reaction. Do they make you stay? Anyway, I have had 5 treatments now and NO reaction what so ever. I am getting a bit peeved now at how long it takes for me when I go in. I get there at 8:15 am and not out of there until 1:30 or 2 PM. THAT is ridiculous!
