Guest guest
I was eating a lot of papaya because of the digestive enzyme that is contains called Papain. That is until I started the diet and eliminated all fruits from my diet (except lemons). I live in the tropics and organic papaya grows wild in my garden from bird droppings. Does anyone know if the sugar content in papaya (pawpaw) is very high or not? The fruit doesn't taste very sweet. Would it be alright to eat or not? n

Papaya would contain too much sugar. The fruits that are allowed, which are very low in sugar, are limes and lemons. Also too much fructose is not even good for healthy people - go to www.mercola.com and do a search using fructose and you'll see what I mean.
