Dear Garrett,

Most health food stores in my area (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) carry

organic meats, but not pasture-fed. Organic means the animals are

not treated with antibiotics, growth hormone, etc. nor fed pesticides

laced foods. But they are still grain-fed to fatten them up. As we

know grain is a foreign food for cows who are herbivores and have 5

stomachs to break down grass, hay, etc. Grains damage their health.

And they are often fed soy, which I'm allergic to. But the meat is

still better than what is in the supermarket.

I buy certified organic pasture-fed meats from a farmer. Weston A

Price has a section where you can contact people in your area for

sources of meats, etc.

It is under " Get Involved " on the left-hand sidebar; go to:

http://www.westonaprice.org/local_chapters/local_chapters.html

That's how I contacted my farmer. They have Dexter Cows, Bronze

Turkeys, Free-Range Chickens & Eggs, and Bison.

Cheers, Bee

Dear Sheryl,

You are so welcome. VERY VERY WELL DONE! Way to go girl.

I just got a brochure and invitation from my farmer today. They have

a bar-b-que every summer and invite all of their customers - of

course we are sampling all of their meats! Yummmmyyyy! They are now

making a special sausage.

The bar-b-que is free, hosted by them. We get a tour of their farm

and a health talk about certified organic pasture-fed and free-range

meats. It's great fun! And you also meet people who think alike!

:) Bee

Wow Bee that is really cool. I would love to be able to tour a farm where I was

getting my meat. You'll have to let us know how it is.
