mog - i use saliva ph strips - but i know others use urine... don't think its the same as hot tub and pool strips...

if anyone wants to order ph strips for saliva or for urine - i have found a

source recently. The ph papers for urine or saliva are $9.50 its a roll of

them - don't know how many feet. They also offer books, etc. on

alkalinizing. Anyway - the co. is HomeCure - 1-800-559-2873 - they are in

Mesa, Arizona.

I just went and ordered some litmus paper from my local animal/garden

supply store. 15 feet of paper for 15 Cdn.

I think that's gotta be a decent price. The range it tests is from 1 to

12. I think that ought to cover what I need it for.

CALCIUM is " the " most alkalinizing mineral there is... and i drink it in an

ionic form all day... calcium is vital for alkalinity...

Just like me to reply to myself, I forgot something.

If you test acidic after eating, then you take a

spoonful of applecider vinegar, wait another 20 minutes

and test again. This information I remember from some

other person posting on another board.

I was told on another board that you can use test

strips for aquariums so for swimming pools should

be good. You can buy very sensitive strips if

you want to know different degrees of acidity. But

that is not needed for what we are looking for.

And you can use the same strips for saliva and urine.

yes... its a real coral that is from an area around Japan... called 'coral

calcium' - i'm sure you can find it on line... just put that in as your 'key

words'.

It is a 'multi-level' thing - the way its marketed... we just signed up to

get it cheaper....

It may depend on your sensitivity. If you cannot tolerate

it then don't use it. Someone made a post # 1005 in the

archives that written information that I read some time ago.

I can't find anything in my books, where I read this I don't

know. But if you can tolerate it, this is very good for you.

Alternative - bicarbonate of soda, lemon juice, most anything

that would make you pucker up. Each item has its own degree

of alkalinity. When you get your test papers experiment with

those things in you kitchen. One of the biggest problems of

developing this acidic condition is not having enough of enzymes

and hydrochloric acid in your stomach. I was told by my doctor

that you take a little hydrochloric acid at a time until you find

the right dose. We haven't done it yet, but I know if you take

too much you can develop an ulcer.

I am wondering how this grapefruit seed extract would do since it

is a very bitter substance. Most of you have been using this

product, so test it.

Do you take the Regular or the Gold version? How often? I am going to try it because trying to manage the alkalinity thing thru foods alone just is too difficult.

However, I have in the past gotten die-off with just about anything that disturbs my "status quo" internally. I suspect this might too.

Did you experience any die-off? Any suggestions on taking it as well?

Magi - I take the GOLD version - which has colloidal silver in it. The beauty of this is that you get almost 1000 mg of calcium - in an extremely assimilatable form - as we all know - calcium is the HARDEST mineral to assimilate. This coral calcium has so amazingly changed people's lives - a lot of our friends have been on it for years and they too 'wouldn't be without it'...!

Where do you live?? If you are in the UK it might cost more.... the best thing is to 'sign up' as a distributor (you are not required to 'do' anything) and then order yours cheaper.

The first little while I was on it over 4 years ago it did take me some time to 'build up' to the Coral Calcium GOLD - first I took the regular Coral Calcium... my body was too weak to handle the GOLD (with the CS).

What I do in the a.m. when I first get up is I put my 3/4 gallon of distilled water out on the counter (in PLAIN view... so I don't forget all day) and I add my packet (coral calcium Gold) to the water. I just leave that water there all day so I DON " T FORGET to drink it. Also - for some people who are really sick -they recommend using a second packet a day that you open and just " eat " in your mouth. if you go to www.google.com and use it as your search engine you will find a lot of info (including people selling coral calcium) under the key words: acid/alkaline balance

Also - another outfit besides HTN sells the Coral Calcium - they're called Kingsway... and they too have the original coral calcium. Don't get cheap imitations - they will be 'sand' off a beach.... marketed as coral calcium.

This Coral Calcium that you speak of, concerns me. If you take Calcium without Magnesium, you are setting yourself up for problems. Any mineral taken by itself throws another out of balance. An over abundance of Calcium will disrupt your magnesium levels. Sodium and Potassium are the same. Does this Calcium have magnesium in it? I don't know enough about the product to comment much, but I was more concerned about what it could be doing long term? Have you checked this out?
