Hello Connie,

The best thing to do is to remove all sugar from your son's diet. All

natural foods are best for him. Raw veggies are a good snack for anybody! My

son ( who has had candidia since he was about 2) loves carrot and celery

sticks. You may want to consider looking into natural antifungals..... rotate

them so the candida can not become immune to them....

Just some ideas, hope they help....

>Is your child talking? Babbling? My 4 month old baby stopped all

babbling and was constipated and in such pain bit(with no teeth) the

skin off her knuckles. She shaked in pain. The dr. was going to

send her to a neurologist. I treated her for 7 day with Nystatin and

Lactobill etc. and she has recover although she is extremly

hyperactive. She is now 10 months old. I have her on a gluten and

dairy free diet and no sugar.

I'm new to the list as well. My 4 yr old son has autism and has

candidia.

  • 7 years later...

>

> My 9 month old daughter has inherited my candida and has a lot of digestive

issues. I brestfed her until recently and she is now on the homemade meat-based

formula from Nourishing Traditions (w/o the whey or lactose). My concern with

her is trying to keep her on the diet as she has reactions to a lot of foods,

particularly meats and veggies. Some foods just make her break out and seem to

cause her intestinal discomfort while others she IMMEDIATELY throws up. She

just starts gagging as soon as they touch her throat. If you get her to swallow

she will throw it up. She used to be able to tolerate egg but now when I give

it to her a few hours later she pukes...A LOT. Right now she is eating a lot of

fruit since it is well tolerated.

+++Hi . It is a hugh mistake to give her any fruit, even IF they " appear

to be well-tolerated. " Fruits contain the very worst sugars, called fructose,

and even healthy people should have very little of them and always with plenty

of good fats to slow their release into the system - search for articles about

the dangers of fructose on Dr. Mercola's website: www.mercola.com

+++All of her reactions to good healing foods on this program are caused by

die-off, healing, detoxifying reactions. Breaking out is toxins coming out

through the skin, which isn't a bad thing since it means her body is

detoxifying, and intestinal discomfort is because of getting rid of toxins.

+++When I was first on my candida program 24 years ago, I also threw up foods,

so I found I must only have good unadulterated foods which were also low in

carbs. I could only eat 9 foods for a period of time, which included lamb,

eggs, butter, a few greens, and tomatoes. I can't explain why tomatoes didn't

cause a problem but I think it is because they are acid.

>I am not sure what I should be doing? Should I just keep giving her the foods

she doens't throw up even if they make her break out. She is really starting to

want more solids but I dont know what to feed her. Help!

+++I suggest you give her only cooked vegetables, meats and eggs, and puree all

of them in a blender so they are like baby food, along with soup, bone broths

(made right according to my recipe called " Mineral-Rich Bone Broth " ), and eggs.

+++Eggs are Nature's most perfect food and they will cause more die-off symptoms

because they contain high amounts of sulphur which are antifungal - sulphur is a

very important mineral our bodies need in higher amounts, like they do calcium,

magnesium, etc.

+++The way to get around severe die-off symptoms is to start with 1-2 teaspoons

of uncooked egg yolk, added to soup, broth or other pureed foods, and only

slowly increase the amount.

>Also, do babies need supplements? She is getting CLO in her formula as well as

Vit C.

+++See Candida Treatments for Babies & Children on my website.

>>And finally since she is not even a year old, she should only take a month to

heal? That would be wonderful if that is the case!

+++Yes, if you don't give her fruit or other off-diet foods, and also help her

intestinal/stomach issues with pureed and liquid diet.

All the best, Bee

Thank you for the encouragement. It is good to know we are making

progress in fighting Piper's candida. However, I haven't got enough

breast milk to satisfy Piper's appetite. It's necessary for me to

supplement. If it is a lot better for me to supplement her with the

meat based formula, I can learn to make that. However, since it is

easier to make the milk formula, I have a preference for going with

that. Anything that simplifies my life is pretty important to me, as I

am the mother of two under two (and potty training (-:) Would you

please advise?

+++Hi . It would be a lot better to supplement with the meat based

formula, rather than using cow's milk, which contains lactose (sugar) which

feeds her candida.

All the best, Bee
