Had dizziness when I was infected the second time and now have constant tinnitus

and saw an ear, nose and throat doc....who said it probably will not go

away...but it has gotten better in my left ear and now is primarily in my right

one...8th cranial nerve....probs cause it I think....I don't know whether the

abx or Carvachol I took worked on the left ear...I think it may have been the

carvachol....so will try that again soon....carvachol is concentrated

oreganol.

Hopefully this will go away with treatment but it has been about 2 years and its

still a problem....Regards, Dolores

Just wondering if anybody else has vertigo/dizziness and tinnitus or any other

ear problems with lyme?

I am dizzy ALL day long with some vertigo. I also have constant loud tinnitus

that drives me crazy!

Anyone else?

I had all these symptoms with my Lyme and then read a book called " Could It Be

B12? An Epidemic of Misdiagnoses " by Sally Pachalok, and read that the vertigo,

dizziness, and loss of balance could be helped with Vitamin B12.

I started taking sublingual Methylcobalamin and that helped it about 50%. Then

I got a prescription from my doc for B12 shots (hydroxycobalamin).

That was one month ago and I am taking the shots 2ce a week, and I haven't had

any vertigo, dizziness or loss of balance. It was my major symptom with Lyme

and it is now non-existent.

I think there is a correlation between Lyme, myelin sheath destruction and B12.

I hope this helps, since I am still amazed every day at the change.

My tinnitus is much better. My vertigo is gone. This took a few years of

antibiotics. I can't help wondering if IV would finish it up, but it

hasn't been worth it to me to find out.

   Hello there ,

Yes. Vertigo or dizziness has been one of my

symtpoms also.

Mine is more during driving.  It usually happens at higher

elevatios or

curvy roads.  It's no fun for sure whatever it is.  I have had

b12 shots

in

the past.  Still I have this symptom but I'm glad yours is

improved.

That's good news.  I will not rule this treatment out in

the future.

Yes.   I have mild what I call 'buzzing' in the ears.

I've had that

for

a long time.   Thanks for your input and again it's good to

hear when

             something gets cleared up.   Hally

Thanks for your message, Halley,

I know how unpleasant vertigo can be and I hope you can find something that

helps....and soon. I had to take the B12 shots every day for a week and now 2ce

a week. I tried taking them just once a week and the dizziness was still there

about 50%.
