Guest guest Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Hey, I have to say If you can get that Doxie put on IV go for it. And at least 400 to 600mg daily. Plus don't forget Diflucan for the Candida. Generic, Fluconazole 200mg daily. Millie wtptoo <wtptoo@...> wrote: Congrats on finally getting appropriate treatment. I have heard he is a really good doc so its great you have someone that knows what they are doing! Quote
Guest guest Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Thx. I doubt the IV. He never mentioned it. He put me on a probiotic for the yeast. I see him in 4 weeks. Right now, I am just starting the doxy and getting over the shock of all of this. Guest guest Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Iknow what you mean about crying pms or not. It always helps to have a reason for all the awful things we suffer from having this dibilitating disease. Millie <scorpionallure@...> wrote: I had to write to tell all of you not to give up. I saw Dr. P in PA tonight. I am so numb inside and shakey. I breifly told him my history and my Lyme hx (the rash and tx by my family dr. I did have a positive western blot) I showed him the Ingenex results that I just had done a few weeks ago which were IND and negative. He said he was surprised. He started me on doxy 100 mg 3 X a day and a slew of supplements and a probiotic. I started crying in his office (some PMS) b/c I told him it took 6 yrs for someone to say you stil have Lymes' He was surprised that I am still working a job. I was fearing that I was going to go partial disability or bring it to HR b/c the fatigue but I always push. Anyway....he did say I may feel a little worse due to a herx but he expects me to have less muscle pain and fatigue with tx. I see him in 4 weeks. Thanks also to Jeannie and Cooky for supporting me. This is the start of 2006. Quote
Guest guest Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 I AGREE WITH MILLIE 600 MG SOUNDS CORRECT. YOU NEED A HIGH ENOUGH DOSAGE TO KILL THE BUG AND 300 MG A DAY IS NOT ENOUGH. > Congrats on finally getting appropriate treatment.
