An associate came to accept the award for him. Dr, is getting up there in years and believe me, we do not know what will happen when he can no longer practice medicine. I was just informed that Dr. Eugene Shapiro from Yale University Medical Hospital is trying to have Dr. 's medical license removed. Yale and Dr.Shapiro are directly related to our inability to be treated appropriately for Lyme Disease. Yale is telling the world that Lyme Disease is easily treatable and that one month of treatment is sufficient in just about every case. If a patient has the exact same symptoms after the 30th day of treatment, according to Shapiro and Yale, they no longer have an active infection but that the patient is either now depressed, has antibiotic seeking behavior or has an autoimmune disease such as Lupus, ALS, M.S, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, etc. So, you see, this is not really about a single disease called lyme that is easily identified. We are talking about a lyme/coinfection pandemic that is being covered up and even intentionally perpetuated. Yale has no evidence to back up their claim that Lyme is cured within a month.I was at a state hearing where they tried to prove their point and failed miserably. There are many studies which Yale and the public health departments choose to ignore...which show without doubt that the Lyme spirochete can remain in the body despite what they say is adequate treament. The lyme microbe, mycoplasma and other related organisms seem to know how to evade the immune system and hide out in the body. They can change shape and many times combinations of antibiotics need to be used to attack the different forms. Some of this immune and antibiotic evasion could be naturally occurring but many feel that these germs have had some help from the scientific biowarfare community. Dr. is not the first lyme literate doctor to be attacked. There have been others and those in the lyme community are now experts at holding rallys and fundraisers for these doctors to help pay their legal fees. I feel that I would be dead by now if it wasn't for a certain doctor who had the nerve to stand up to the system. I used to be on natural treatments before I found out I had lyme. They did help but many symptoms continued to get worse. This is a disease or should I say disease complex that needs to be treated allopathically and with natural treatments to support the immune system. All of us are facing a pandemic of Lyme, mycoplasma and other coinfections such as Erlichia, babesia, bartonella, etc.It is known that these diseases are not just passed by ticks. I don't know of many who are chronically ill who are ever tested for these microbes. I sincerely believe that much of our chronic illness ( the different names are increasing every day) are due to these infections that the medical community is ignoring. Poor diet and chemicals in the environment also contribute to lowering our immune systems so that it is difficult to erradicate these germs. The pharamceutical companies are making billions off all the symptomatic treaments that the patients are allowed to have. We are allowed the symptomatic treatments but not the ones which cure. However, I also feel there is more going on than just profiteering. I truely think that our country and other parts of the world ,are being disabled. Decreasing the population and creating conditions to intiate world government seems to also be a factor. I will keep you updated on Dr. 's case....for it affects us all. HE SAID THAT SO MANY PEOPLE WERE 'SENT HOME AND TOLD TO GET THEIR AFFAIRS IN ORDER' WHEN IT WAS REALLY LYMES AND NOT ALS OR SOME OTHER HORRIFIC DISEASE OR DISORDER !!! SHAME ON DOCTOR SHIPIRO !!!!! I have forwarded it to Dr who writes an EXCELLENT article in Alternatives Dec 04 regarding lyme and basically according to his article I get the feeling he would love to back up Dr. . I will also forward to my LLMD or print and take with me on Tuesday. She is very involved both as a LLMD and as an advocate for lyme patients. She is very well known within the LDA as was her late husband. Please forward to me any new information you have on Doctor . Thanks !
