It's possible your LLMD is a believer in the Marshall Protocol -- a dubious

theory that's popular among many chronically ill groups, but which I wouldn't

get involved with myself if you paid me a thousand bucks a day to do it. This

theory says that vitamin D, in essence, keeps the body from fighting Lyme. Or

feeds it. Or something -- it's been a long while since I involved myself with

the details. There's no corroborating science behind it, and I've personally run

into half a dozen people who've been irreparably damaged by severe bone loss

incurred while on Marshall.

Still, the thing we love about our LLMDs is that they're heretics. So,

occasionally, they chase after stuff like this for a while.

That might be what's happening here. Were it me, I'd have a chat with the doc

about his/her reasoning, just to find out how they think.

Living on the 50th parallel in a city that's overcast most of the winter, I

couldn't make it from November to March without my daily fistful of Vitamin D.

> Bee, I took your advice about stopping the D3 I got. I still took my CLO

this morning and will order the correct D3. I am still feeling ill from

yesterday. To me it seems like an overdose. I felt a little better upon waking

then took my 1T of CLO and now I am achy all over.

+++Hi Care. I don't believe I advised you to stop the D3 since you need extra

D3 and vitamin A along with 1 tablespoon of CLO.

Furthermore, I still have issues with getting the ratio of calcium to magnesium

per your instructions. I tend to need more magnesium. Anything that has

calcium in it cause me more pain and more knots in my back. I've addressed this

before and you said it was algia like fibromyalgia. I what I don't understand

is why magnesium and calcium play a role. It just seems like they do. I can't

even tolerate that much butter and have had to increase my fats through other

means.

+++Once you are taking the correct amounts of Omega 3, and vitamins A and D for

5 days I can advise you better on this.

>

> Can you help me? I was going to get my Vit D levels checked. I also know

that Calc plays a role and if there is too much vit D in the system, calcium can

cause problems too. Then I searched and noticed that you do not recommend

testing. I'm at a loss. I thought by now I would not be in so much pain and

feeling lightheaded and ill all of the time.

+++Testing any nutrient like vitamin D doesn't help since they do not (and

cannot) test other nutrients that Vitamin D needs in order to be absorbed and

utilized, which includes saturated fats like butter, coconut oil, etc., omega 3,

vitamin A, D & E.

+++Your body is smart enough to balance out all nutrients just with this diet

and the supplements.

+++Getting healthy is not a steady uphill climb towards health where you feel

better and better until you are healthy again. It has its ups and downs because

of how the body heals itself.

Bee, You did tell me to stop the one I had because it has soybean oil in it and

I had a flu like reaction...which I still believe was a toxic reaction. I only

took one capsule and then returned the bottle. They didn't have any replacement

so I will have to order the correct D3. I have noticed however that I am

feeling better now. Having dropped down to 1T of CLO helped. I have taken only

a few breaks from my CLO, and every time I do I feel so much better. When I

shared this with you...you suggested I drop down to 1T and add the D3 and Vit A.

I have felt bad from the start of this diet (1year now)...with the only

exception being taking a break from the CLO. My longest break was on a vacation

when it was easy to forget to take it.

That's the only way right now that I can find to increase my fat so I'm almost

to 7T.

I had been battling an ear infection also I was taking arithromycin 500 mg and ear drops I can't remember the name of the ear drops but my doctor said by combining them it attacks the infection from both sides so you might want to ask your doctor about the drops too.~annamarie"Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain"

DonHow much time do you spend in front of your computer and do you have a really good supportive chair?? It's all important! Also, I find that even with a good office chair, I still have to get up and move occasionally.Actually, I should do it more than I really do.Gloria

Can only tell you that I have daily mid-back and both sides pain. With daily activities it reaches extreme level...daiy. Ct and ultra sounds show nothing to b causing it. I have had a pretty much unproductive day today. I had a horrible night tossing and turning... it was pretty hot and humid and for some reason the AC doesn't quite make it upstairs if it's really bad... then this morning I realized my good old hubs had the thermostat set at 78. Grrr. So I woke up aching everywhere and without any decent sleep it was worse... tried to white knuckle the pain thing, set the thermostat down to 70 (that'll teach him) packed a box, maybe 2 and went right back to sleep. Til like 5 tonight. Pain was still there so I broke down and popped a Norco. Got another box packed

albeit a small one.... Now I'm pretty sure I'm going to be awake all night.... going to have to find things downstairs to pack instead of upstairs. Am I whining yet? Just one of those days I guess.. Fibro sucks.Miserable in Mundelein.....Teri

I too have a high pain threshold.

Nevertheless, being a stubborn sort, I waited until I was on Percocet BEFORE

surgery, and I was on it for a while afterwards too. Things got pretty bad.

God alone knows how much pain a normal person would have been in if I was

that bad off.

Exercise beforehand is good. Taking drugs so you¹re not uncomfortable for

no good reason is good. You don¹t sound like you¹re likely to get addicted

to painkillers, which is really the only danger in this area.

My advice: get this thing done. Do whatever exercises you can, take

whatever drugs help, do rehab religiously. The truth is, that in most cases

the surgery goes well and the healing process goes well and after it¹s all

over your knee doesn¹t hurt any more and you get your life back. This is

mostly independent of everything but the surgery and the rehab. Take pain

drugs or don¹t take them; exercise before or don¹t. The first few weeks

after surgery are an ordeal, but that passes.

It¹s like childbirth. For the first few weeks after you deliver, you think,

Well, I¹m never going to do THAT to myself again! Then, as the benefits

become obvious and the memory recedes, you see it differently.

Good luck! But you don¹t need much luck. This surgery is successful in the

overwhelming majority of cases.

When I run out of my meds I find lying on my back on the floor with my legs up

on a coffee table helps me relieve some pain. When it is really bad I go into

the pool with a temp set at between 85 to 95 degrees. If I stay in for about

half hour to an hour it really helps.

I have a thing called a body inverter, as I'm new to group this device may be

common knowledge sorry.

I clamp my feet in and lay back, it swings around, inverting me (up side down),

20 mins on this equals 4 hours in bed i claim.

It sounds like you and I had a similar night last night. I have overdone it for

the last few days and it all hit me last night. Although I had my medications to

take it didn't touch the pain.

Prior to being on the medication that does knock the edge off my pain I had a

lot of sciatic nerve pain and I got on youtube one night and found various

exercises to do that will relieve the pain some. I suggest getting on there and

looking at some of the physical therapy exercises for whatever pain you are

dealing with and see if some of that helps. I remember back in the Winter when I

was pacing, crying, etc from pain I finally found that and laid in the floor and

got up on my elbows and raised the top of my body while leaving my hips/legs on

the floor and it was like angels singing the pain immediately went away. Of

course you can't stay that way forever, but it was such a relief to have a

moment without excruciating sciatic pain!!

I hope you are doing better today!

Body inverters terrify me. I am afraid with all of my issues they would make

them even worse. I definitely think that's one of those things you should ask

your doctor about before trying.

Hi

ER docs are not specialists.

Mostly they are GP's or PA's [phy asst].

They are mostly trained in instant trama, not long term trama.

Therefore, even though this ER doc has more training than you and I, they are still guessing also.

Is there any outward sign that something is wrong that you can see?

Redness, raised blood vessels, brusing, swelling, etc?

It is possible that your pain may be the results of high labs, but you might want to have it checked out by a specialist, to find out for sure.

Our bodies warn us with pain when something is wrong.

Therefore - something is wrong with your leg.

Now you need to persist until an answer is found.

A thought comes to my mind - a slipped disc in your back.

I have this problem, and it does affect my legs.

I would suggest not lifting, moving carefully, and soaking in a hot tub of water.

Maybe a heating pad.

These things may provide you with some relief.

Good Morning Friends!Ok, I am grasping at straws, I have intese pain in my left leg. I have struggled with it for a week, finally broke down and went to the emergency room and they ruled out a blood clot. It feels like a muscle is tearing when I walk, sit, stand, lay. The pain dosen't ever go away. I informed the doc of my status with Hep C and he informed me in return that my liver function labs are very high like 4 times what they should be and this could possibly be causing my pain. I have been diagnosised with fibro, but this is very unlike any fibro pain I have ever indured. I have an appointment with my Hep doc in September. I have to work, I cannot miss. I have to keep my job. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what this could be? ------------------------------------

Oh sweetie...  You know, if you look at the big picture and how much you are really going thru, you are not being a baby.  This crap is not fun and it hurts.  And it causes phantom pain sometimes..  and it causes real pain other times.  And you get to a point that even one little pain is too much.  Kinda stop the world I want to get off!  You could be getting the flu or you could just be worn out and your muscles in the lower portion of your body are rebelling.  In either case, it's a sign.  It's a sign for you to stop and just relax.  Get in bed, pull the comforter up to your neck... get the pillow just where you want it, turn on the tube and settle in for some good commercials.

Is it cold by you?  It's freezing here.  It's a whoppin 21 degrees outside and my heater is running like crazy to just try to keep the inside of this house a nice toasty 70.  Bruce has it set to 68 but when he goes to work I turn the sucker up!  What he doesn't know...  won't hurt him.  Cold tends to make all this worse so stay warm...  maybe some hot herbal tea with honey might help some?

Hallo,

I was searching on internet about the usage of LDN and Gc Maf together.

I have ME/CFS, for which I am trying LDN to feel less tired. I used it now for

one month (4 mg) but until now no results.

I was tested on the XMRS/ MLV virus ( those virus are found very often when

having CFS) and I am positive for the MLV virus and for that I get now Gc Maf

injections. I was wondering if someone knows if LDN can be used together with

Gc Maf? The doctor that treats me with Gc Maf is not using LDN.

Some information about GC maf can be found here:

http://www.thedcasite.com/Yamamoto_file/Yamamoto.html

http://www.gcmaf.eu/info/

Tx for your any help.

Greetings

Yes, I agree!! Several years back I was injured as I was doing my nursing

job

and sent to physical therapy. The area I was injured was in my mid back

but I

had had awful pain for a long time in my lower back and seen chiropracters who

temporarily relieved the pain. Well, the PT did a maneuver with a twist

only

one time and I had no pain at all from any of it for years. All the

exercises

did nothing and then this PT just did one twist and I was better! It

seems

carrying my last child probably had done it---he was much larger than the

rest.

You just have to find the right person to fix your problem, whatever it may be.

I'm researching for radio frequency ablation for nerve pain. Also ISO drug pump.

There are alot of things to help you not take so many medications but when they

remove the sacrum bones, they move the nerves...so which can you ablate? That's

what I'm researching. I'd love to do this RFA. This ISO drug pump from

medtronics I think is new so don't know about success of it. Still researching.

Anyone with knowledge please email me.

I don't know what is causing your pain. A good neurosurgeon should be able to

direct you/see if it's nerve pain. Best of luck.

burn pain can be a good sign i was told by a pro when it first happend to me.

It turned out to be true (the start of my had goal getting met).

Something called Muscle Burn is what the professional weight lifters talk about

so maybe you should look up that term to build your spirits a littlle about

your pain.

i had PT today and know i will be sore after each moment of inactivity. I am

trying to put off taking any pain medication but know i have it if need be. My

backs of my feet hurt like HHHH when i try to walk but at least i know it is

coming from a good day f PT workout --- namely 30 heel lifts. Gee why should

that cause me to hurt. I must ned strengthening there ornitbwould not be

hurting is hiw i figure to myself.

is different for each individual but it has been 7 weeks since my " new knee " and

the burning pain continues. My knee is still pretty stiff and I've tried to do

what the therapist and Dr told me to do. I might not be walking enough. How

much do most of you walk? And, are you able to get by with OTC pain meds?

oops I feel better (psychologically) after recalling that i have been wotprking

my ankles and knees out via at least three different pt challenges. On is very

new to me so likely the big culprit.

And another one has me doing it more frequently so now that makes me feel bette

that it is not pain just pain simply from 30 stupid heel lifts.

I know what I am going to do. I learned this last year and it helped.

I am going to have to again dig out the shoes that i own that support my

feet better. The ones i ave been wearing are too wide so have too much " wiggle

room " for my feet (and as a result my ankles) causing too much stress on my

ankles during this rype of therapy.

Well, if it is a good sign......great. I sure have a lot of it. I do know that

when muscles are being built up there is a burning but it would seem that the

burning would stop after the exercise but maybe not. Thanks SherryHH

Hi Sherry, I was still having pain at 7 weeks.  I didn't fell normal for about

4 months.  that said, it has been 1 1/2 years no.  I go on 5-8 mile walks,

play tennis and bike.  It can still be stiff when I bend it, but there is no

more pain.  Stick with it!

All the best, Joan

My friend said her friend says she always felt like there was a foreign

objectnptrsant in her knee area until l one day at the three monthpost TKR

point she woke up and realized many hours later that she forgot it was there

completely. (smile I like that one so maybe for us it will be qt 4 or5 or 6

mos. My highscool friend walks without any cane at all and had her TKR done 1

year ago.
