Just a quick note of thanks to everyone. Today I found a LLMD that I feel is

a good fit for us. He says he takes my insurance which seems too good to be

true, I will double check with my carrier tomorrow. I was prepared to pay

everything out of pocket. I have appt's for me and both of my children, I am

happy he sees children as well as adults, although we have to wait 2.5 weeks

to see him (I should not be complaining but it means a gap in oral AB for

all 3 of us, oh well, I had hoped for continuous treatment for the first

dose).

I had a good day today, thank goodness. I also had a long phone call with

someone that I believe came from this list, a friend of a friend of someone

here. I also found a local support group which I may or may not choose to

access. I have two Lyme books coming to me that I bought on the Internet

since they weren't available at the public libraries. I also found two

interview recordings at my library with two different LLMDs, one is on

children and Lyme and the other is on Lyme in general which I will start

watching tonight. So I feel so physically well today and clear minded (the

normal me) that I can handle thinking about this stuff today. I have read

the Dr. B. recommendations and did more reading to now see the conflict of

interest and other controversial topics on Lyme. I will continue to read the

messages on this list. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone.

I could share some negative stuff that happened with the Dr. who gave me my

oral Abs when we spoke yesterday, but I will just keep that to myself. I

feel very hopeful for the future at this point and just want all of us to

get the right treatment for the stage we are in and get this Lyme killed off

so we can get on with our lives. Trying to be optimistic.

Yes I do think I had a Herx reaction! I wish the Dr. had told me about that

so I could have braced myself! It would have been easier to tolerate if I

knew that it was part of the necessary process and that it was a good sign

to be experiencing it.
