One week is not very long.Is your Hashimoto's being treated sufficiently with replacement hormone. Fatigue, pain, depression, and constipation are all symptoms of hypothyroidism. Were these symptoms not as noticeable before you began LDN? If LDN is going to help your Hashi's it may take longer than you expect and probably a higher dose. But don't go too fast titering your dose. That could be too much shock to your system.Have you had very recent thyroid/adrenal labs? Do you plan to? Neither of us had/has the complication of adrenal problems or hishimoto's. If the liquid is in a Brown glass ,it is good up to a month.

Depression is very much related to thyroid.are you being

treated good with dessicated hormones or only levo.

I repeat, it is my understanding that the 90 day limit is for pharmacy compounded LDN liquid. Anyone who has used liquid for pets from Skip's Pharmacy may be aware it comes with a 30 day expiration. Has Francie determined if that liquid with a 90 limit has not had preservatives added?For homemade liquid I would rather be safe and go with a thirty day limit. I would like to know more about Francie's experiences and knowledge base.

I would be horrified to hear that anyone was using a brand new syringe

every time they dosed with LDN. What a huge creation of waste.

When

dissolved in distilled water, does the LDN stay in suspension? Does it

dissolve?

You

can always wash out a syringe. You don’t have to put it into your mouth,

you can drop it on a spoon.

The liquid LDN that we make from pills bought from Mexico lasts at least 30 days

unrefrigerated. Research has shown that it lasts at least 90 days refrigerated.

I really don't have any medical background, although I do have degrees in

genetics, with minors in anatomy and physiology. We manage a large ranch, which

had up until recently 130+ horses, 50+ dogs, a small herd of llamas, and one

cat. I take LDN for my MS and feel that I am in total remission after 10 years

of a downhill battle with conventional therapies and drugs totaling nearly

$3,000 per month. That goodness, I lost my insurance so that I could find LDN.

I am not sure where the somebody got the idea to use a new syringe every night.

I do try to remember to trade it out every month or so. I do agree that it would

be a horrible waste, but since it is not important to stay sterile, it just has

not been necessary. It is not being injected with the syringe, just drunk. We

have had no problem with this. I did get out a new syringe when I had to dose a

horse and used the one from bedside :-)

I try to impart only my own personal experience, or those that seem to be

generally accepted, or that have actually been tested, with results published.

either 4 degrees C or 25 degrees C; most samples exhibited no

loss. .... The recommended shelf lives of 30 and 60 days stored at

25 degrees C and 4 degrees C, respectively. " This is a reference

book that every compounder OUGHT to have on hand. 4 degrees C is

refrigeration and 25 degrees C is room temperature. We make a lot

of naltrexone solutions for people who need to adjust their doses.

The most popular strength is 1mg per ml. We supply a syringe with

which the patient can measure the correct dose. It is bitter so it

needs to be mixed with something (unless you have strong taste

buds). Nobody has ever complained that it " stopped working " .

I know that there are general rules. For instance, when Frontline for Dogs first

came out, it was required to have a 2 year exp date, since they had not yet

proved that it lasted longer than that. Once they had samples over two years old

with no deterioration, they were allowed to remove the exp date. I think it is

probably a good idea for Skip to put a 30 day exp date on liquid LDN, since we

never know how it is actually being treated once dispensed, and nobody has

proven scientifically that it is still good. I know that we have had no problem

with using LDN made from dissolved from 50mg pills and kept at room temperature

next to the bed. But since a pill only lasts about 18 days, we have not tested

past 30 days ourselves.
