Guest guest Posted July 14, 2004 Report Share Posted July 14, 2004 Hi, Has anyone here been on Mepron for Babesia? I am staring it along with a high dose of oral Zithromax for 30 days. I had a very high Babesia titer and a positive Lyme PCR. My Dr. wants to treat the Babesia first then do a round of 2 months of IV. This will be my 4th IV. Thanks! Guest guest Posted March 30, 2005 Report Share Posted March 30, 2005 How can one tolerate mepron? I did great on mepron/ketex after couple of months on it. I felt so much better than I had for many years. Then I developed bouts of nausea and vomiting and had to go off the combo. After a break of two weeks, I attempted again only to encounter the same side effects. It got so bad that I lost weight. So is there any way I can take this nasty medicine without feeling so nauseous? The only reason I will ever think about going back on it was the fact that I felt great for several weeks.
