Hello laur@...,

In reference to your comment:

è We are both resistant to antibiotics, and he is starting

è me on Samento. The information I was referred to by

è someone on another list really makes the Samento

è seem like the treatment of choice for me. I did a

è search on the archives of this group and there is only

è one reference to Samento. Does anyone here take it?

*****Yes I take Samento....It took me 6 bottles to get up to 20 drops, 3

times a day.

è It hit me like a ton of bricks. I had to decrease my

è starting dosage way down to be able to stand the

è herxxing. I'm starting to get a little used to it, but I only

è take a half drop per day! It will take a bit for me to build

è up the dosage. At least the herxxing shows me that

è it's working. (Jump, jump, clap, clap)

*******GOOD if you are herxing on 1/2 drop per day....drink, drink then drink

so more water and you will be able to increase it faster.....I got stuck on

10 drops 3 times a day for 2 weeks, but was able to add more drops faster as

the herxing slowed down.

*******I just posted my present protocol in another post, which I'm excited

about....I feel so bad for those who have suffered for years and are continuing

to suffer with their protocols, and I'm thankful that we have found the right

combination for me.

I relate to a few

è of the recent messages I have read so far - the weight

è gain in the belly and the cyclic nature of the illness.

è Both of which my doctor says are reasons he was so

è suspicious of Lyme. Not only is my belly fat, it is also

è bloated and sticks way out, like I'm pregnant. This is a

è hard nut to crack for a person who never weighed over

è 115 pounds, ever. I try to eat low carb, but if I don't

è have carbs, I get hypoglycemic. I haven't been able to

è give up pasta, yet, but I have cut down greatly. (I'm an

è Italian - my grandmother is probably rolling in her

è grave).

******Diet/nutrition is very important when dealing with this horrific

disease.

There are several stores like Trader Joe's, Sprouts, Henry's and Wild Oats,

which have a hugh selection of gluten free pasta....I was in a neighborhood

full of Italians and this gluten free pasta is excellent....One thing forsure is

get rid of the white flour, white sugar, plus there are several other foods to

give up....Do NOT consume artificial sweetners like Aspartame, Nutra-Sweet,

Splenda, etc., etc., etc......Stevia is from a plant and comes in liquid and

powder form. It has been around for 300 yrs in Japan....I have some Stevia

recipes with a conversion chart on my hepatitis

website....www.hepheimers.com....different brands of Stevia have different

strengths....I get the 95% from

liverfriend.com in powder form....very cheap as it goes a longggggg way.....I

also

had to get rid of all caffeine, but occassionally cheat and have a Frap at

Starbucks with expresso.....my problem is I have learned to cheat and detox

myself quickly from the no-no!!

I hope I can find hope in this group - right now I

è feel discouraged and depressed.

*******I'm so sorry you are feeling discouraged and depressed.....we all have

gone through that stage....It is very discouraging when you feel like poop

and can't even get out of bed. This group as well as the Lyme-Rife group are

fantastic and have a ton of very knowledgeable folks, who are willing to share

their experiences. When you feel down, post it to the group and folks will

jump in and help you pull up your bootstraps....If I can help you in anyway,

please don't hesitate to contact me....I will even give you my home telephone

number and will be happy to help you get over the humps....

*******Treatment protocols are a personal choice IMHO and there are many

different types of protocols, some with success and some without....There are no

two bodies alike and what works for some will not work for others. As you will

hear often " listen to your body " !!! Most importantly remember that YOU are

in charge of your own healthcare journey not your doctor(s)....As I tell mine,

I am the leader and they are merely a member of the team....Some accept it and

those that haven't I have fired...I have chosen the alternative route and

thankful that I did.

******I'm on SS disability and medicaid and refuse to accept bad

healthcare...I'm also dealing with Systemic Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis,

Fibromyalgia,

Sjogrens, Chronic Candida (because I cheat), Thryoid, impaired liver, and

several

other problems, BUT the Photon-Genie machine I'm treating with, is also

fixing the other issues I'm dealing with....it hasn't been an easy journey and I

have spent MANY days in bed, barely able to make it to the toilet by myself.

However I find that by keeping a positive mental attitude has helped me reach

peak performance on many days....

*****Hang in there and try not to get too discouraged....

Keep a smile on your face, love in your heart and walk with the angels,

holding hands in the " chain of love " ...

So you increased very very slowly? My herxing has gone from all day

to 6 hours then 4 and then 1. I think I can manage them in the future

now that I know they do decrease in intensity.

So it's the gluten to be wary of? Is there gluten in brown rice?

It sounds so easy..... I don't use sweeteners of any kind. Maybe

sometimes a little fruit on my toast. What about fruit? That's

considered sugar. isn't it? I have heard in many places that ER4YT is

too simplistic and really not a good diet to follow - not that I

follow anybody's diet plan. I try to eat low carb, and we do buy

organic.

>*******I'm so sorry you are feeling discouraged and depressed...

I'm sorry I made that sound so dire. I am really lucky that my

depressions are short and sweet. My poor husband carries that burden

for both of us.

>*******Most importantly remember that YOU are in charge of your own

My doctor is an excellent partner in that way. I am fortunate. By

alternative do you mean without antibiotics? I am noticing that just

about everyone takes antibiotics. I asked a few questions on the

other lyme group - lyme-naturalhealthcare - but no one seems to be

there - the only response I got was someone suggesting I try this

group.

I have lots of other problems, too. It just seems to have all started

at once. Chronic Fatigue, Leaky Gut, Fibromyalgia, Hypercoagulation,

Osteoporosis, some hypothyroid problem, and

I-can't-remember-what-all-else. My doctor says it's lucky that I

started out so strong and healthy. is it possible to avoid Candida? I

don't believe I have it (yet) and that's one reason I would like to

avoid antibiotics.

Thanks LymeAngl@... I will check them out and I could also use some

help with the abbreviations I see used in the messages posted here.
