I have been a member here for 8yrs. I am 99% better after ending up paralyzed from the neck down due to lyme. Five of my six kids were on 504 Plan in school and my husband nearly died from severe tachycardia, all due to lyme. Sue, I am honestly not attacking you and I know you help many people and I'm glad you are well. I think it is great how you have turned your illness into a positive helping others. But you do charge, don't you?? Don't you make money through people buying all the products?? There is nothing wrong with this, but to keep saying you don't charge and its all free isn't really right either. Did you ever think that maybe it wouldn't come across as solicitation on the all the lists if you wrote people privately telling them to call you instead of everyone seeing several posts a week of you telling people you don't charge, its free, you were paralyzed, etc. etc.?? I see your same story and emails to people telling them to call you constantly, so it does look like solicitation.
Guest guest
- First of all, you copied an e-mail from another list and posted it here... I thought this was a 'no-no'..... you are on many lists that I am on as well and I have seen it posted many times not to cross-reference groups. The post that you copied was posted on a list that I have been a member of for 8yrs. and there are many, many people on this list that are in extreme financial straights so I am offering these people help, and yes, for no charge. This particular group consists mainly of people that are new to lyme, are in dire need of help and don't know where else to turn. I also donate alot of supplements for free. You also should have written me off this list as well since this is personal. I apologize to this group but feel a group response is necessary, I will not post further. This is not the first time you have been negative towards me either. If you would have asked, you would have known, as many here know, I do not charge people for an initial phone conversation!!! We have a general conversation and I advise that if a person would like an individual assessment, THEN I have a consultation fee. I pay for the phone calls, long distance. Nothing wrong with that. YES, I do make some profit from supplements, but once again, you miss the big picture.... I don't tell people they have to buy my products from me only. sue massie, CNHP 732 933-4011
Guest guest
Touche' Bev! I totally agree with you on this. What about those that write books to help others, are they making anything? There seems to be a hypocrisy(sp) amongst us and it is truely sad. > Sue, > > I have to disagree about not posting off and on. You'll have to excuse me > but I am herxing real bad today. Guest guest
Sue, Have you thought about starting your own list? That has been done numerous times by members of Lyme Aid who didn't feel this list was giving them what they wanted. A list owned and operated by you could be run in a fashion of your choosing. You could give your advise freely or even blatantly solicit without anyone being angry with you. I believe you have information to offer others that may benefit them. But Lyme Aid is not always the best place to offer this kind of help. As you have seen there is some healthy skepticism, and at times hatred, of Sunrider products. A new list would ensure people who want to learn more would have access to you. I would be glad to help you set up a new list if you're interested. I've done this quite a few times and have no problem setting something up knowing that I will have no control over the group. Seriously think about this option. I think it could benefit you and some in the Lyme community. =) Robynn Re: [ ] Re: not soliciting? Dear , I came into the middle of this thread, so I might be missing something. I lost interest in telling people about my success story with the Sunrider herbs because I got tired of being attacked by people like you who are so worried about people like Sue and myself possibly soliciting and making a few dollars from helping others. It takes time to write and answer e-mails and take phone calls and our time is as valuable as any doctor's time. I just don't have the energy anymore to give of myself to this list. Many of the people on this list will never recover because they can't see the good in people like Sue and myself and are always looking for the downside of things. An illness can take you over not only physically, but mentally and spiritually unless you change your perspective on life and recognize a friend when you see one. Years ago, before I knew about Sunrider, I paid someone like Sue $150 just to sit down with me and tell me what vitamins to take and explained to me about juicing apples and carrots. Ultimately the vitamins made me sick and the juicing helped minimally. Sue obviously has much more knowledge because she has lived through this disease as I have and we both know what works for us and would help others. When I see someone suffering with Lyme, as I did and my family did, it really hurts me, but it has become apparent that this list in a big way is about sharing symptoms, wallowing and condemning those who want to reach out and help. I think I will not be receiving the groups e-mails. I am going to say good-bye. I need to move on and help those who want to be helped. I also agree that with what I have been through with the Lyme disease, and guiding my whole family and myself back to health with the Sunrider Herbal Food, after a six + year battle with chronic third stage Lyme, that I would be a good resource for those seriously interested in regaining their health. It would be wonderful and very much appreciated if you could teach me how to set up my own list, and of course, I would follow any guidelines that are recommended. As I hope that you and those on this list realize, my intentions have always been honorable, no matter how they were interpreted by skeptics. I love helping people, especially those who are going through the hell that I went through with my family and myself. If I could afford to, I would purchase products out of my own pocket to make everyone on this list well, but unfortunately I can't. I provide the counseling, literature and support at no cost, and make a small percentage off of the sale of the Sunrider products. I also have extensive training through Sunrider on nutrition and lifestyle, and am a certified skin care advisor for Kandesn products, manufactured by Sunrider. What we put on our skin is an essential part of our recovery because many products out there block up the pores so that toxins remain trapped in our body. I will show those interested how to get these products at a wholesale price of 40 percent below retail, which is the same price that I pay. These are some of the issues that would be explained and discussed. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you, Robyn, about setting up my own list. Thanks again!
