Guest guest Posted April 15, 2010 Report Share Posted April 15, 2010 All airports in the UK have been shut down, this is also spreading to the Scandinavian countries and Holland, this because of a volcano erupting in Iceland and spreading volcanic ash into the atmosphere, apparently the ash cloud is about the size of GB so far. Hence, no flights in or out of these countries, So if any of you have friends or family flying to any of these places, the planes will not be allowed in to these air spaces, it seems the ash can cause damage to the planes, thus it is a safety issue........They can already smell the sulphur in the Shetlands......Let's hope the Conferences are not affected.......
