Guest guest
Can you take Prednisone (cortisone) while on LDN? At this time there is no research showing any problem in combining these medications. Can LDN be combined with other medications? The answer to this is not known with certainty. However there does not seem to be a reason why LDN should interact with any medications other than opiate-family or opiate-mimicking painkillers. In the clinical trials conducted to date, no problems have been seen when LDN was combined with other medications being taken by the studies' participants. http://www.ldnscience.org/questions-and-answers/low-dose-naltrexone-ldn > > I started on LDN a week ago, even though I am still tapering off prednisone. I know everyone says you have be be 10mg or lower, but I didn't dare wait longer b/c my symptoms were starting to increase, and things tend to go downhill quickly for me when that happens. So I started 1.5mg LDN while I was still at 20mg prednisone, and will increase the LDN as I get off the prednisone over the next few weeks. I have not had any trouble sleeping at all, my energy and overall mood are greatly improved, and I am in the bathroom only 1-2 times a day rather than 4-6 before. I am very pleased with the results thus far. I just wish I had tried LDN sooner. > > Becky in Ohio >
Guest guest
At Skip's they also recommend against using steroids with LDN - since the two act against each other in terms of how they affect the immune system. Not that it would be bad for you per se, but that the steroid might tend to lessen or cancel out the benefits of the LDN...~EileenOn May 3, 2010, at 11:57 AM, art_ldn wrote: Can you take Prednisone (cortisone) while on LDN?
