I had a frozen shoulder for over a year and it was the most miserable thing. It was extremely painful. What helped was prolotherapy (google it) and myofascial therapy. I am now 95% pain free and the torn ligament is healed. I couldn't withstand surgery. From: Nuala White <nualawhite@...>Grandma Judy <tajmnewman@...>; low dose naltrexone Sent: Tue, March 9, 2010 5:57:05 AMSubject: RE: [low dose naltrexone] does anyone have severe pain in any of their joints due to taking LDN

Judy,

I hav ehad frozen shoulders and one arm virtually stuck for the past 18months and have been gettin accustomed to LDN for exactly a year.

It occurs to me that the pain may be your arm slowly comin gback to life. MIne is and with it plenty of pain. MY forearms and shoulders have also had a lot of pain presenting and I lost a lot of muscle mass . Dr Phil BOyle recommended I used L-Glutamine 2 g a day in order to buidl strength.

I dont knwo if any of this is familiar or helpful. My condition is RA and so joints and fascia and tendons ae all hevailt implicated.

Good luck

Nuala

Hi, I am new to this group. I started taking LDN in December.I am taking it to see if it helps with my balance because I have MSA and my Neurologist has asked me to be in this study that he is running to see if the LDN can help with falling.I have severe pain in my left arm It started in my elbow and now it is in the upper part of my arm and down the inside of my lower arm.I had xrays taken and nothing showed up on them.My arm has been rigid for about 2 years now but I never had this pain before. I was just wondering if the pain could be a side effect from taking the LDN.thank you.Judy Newman Diagnosd in 2005Striatonigral Degeneration orMultiple Systems Atrophy

Jan, good on you. I too have shoulder problems, almost frozen, Prolo worked great in my right arm. I had 8 injections I believe, 3 different areas of that shoulder. I've had Prolo in other areas but it hasn't worked as well on "chronic" stuff....works better for acute issues. I will do anything almost to avoid the knife and hospitals, ugh!!!!!! This is the major reason I'm taking LDN for my arthritic hip/knee/lower back (which are all chronic)...

Taking Diatomaceous Earth too which is working for many arthritic issues. joyce

Hi,

I passed out from a heat stroke and missed a 90 degree curve on a gravel road, went through a barbed wire fence and plowed a mesquite pasture. No sign of a brake. Broken windows everywhere, ripped off both running boards, side mirrors, dents and crumples everywhere. Apparently woke up enough to get home. The next memory I had was, my sister and Sheriff were sitting by the couch watching me. I sat up and said, What?! Even worse, I had to leave for the D/FW airport that very night to drop off an Anatolian puppy who was going to Italy. This was the very last day due to heat and I had my ‘red tape’ in hand. Problem was, it was Sunday and all stations were closed and I had a ruined tire. I called the station and darned if the man didn’t answer the phone and I talked him into bringing a new tire out and putting it on. He looked around to see if someone had seen him go into his station. Nope, just luck on my part.

Point is, I thought I’d escaped harm but in the end, it wasn’t true. My right shoulder began to be very painful and soon, I was doing everything left handed because I could not lift my right arm to lift feed sacks.

No one ever told me that if you are using a seat belt and have an accident, you are at high risk to pop your shoulder out of joint. I found this out the hard way. Long, painful trip but I’m fine now. Why is not this information known to everyone who uses a seat belt? It would have saved me much pain, scar tissue, and therapy.

I began to laugh on the way to the airport, a 450 mile trip, and my sister asked, What is so darned funny?!! The wind was screeching through the plastic taped windows. I said, Do you realize the gas is worth more than my van?

my " frozen shoulder " turned out to be Lyme. You should get a test from Igenex.if lyme, LDN might help a little but will not cure it.
