I didn't mean to upset you........I just didn't want you to give up your

fight...............I wish I was the one with the Medicine and you were the

one with the PICC............you need it more than I do at this time.

What is the longest you have ever been on IV Rocephin??

Perhaps, not long enough. Maybe they cut you off too early.

I agree with you, they need to find a cure..........there is no definite

cure!!!!!! They should be out there looking for a cure. Testing tick

bacteria after tick bacteria, and finding out all the different strains, how

to test for each bacteria and strain, finding out which medicines kill off

which bacteria.....etc.

So when a person comes in, who has been bitten by a tick, they can tell

exactly the type of bacteria or bacterias, strains of that bacteria etc. and

which abx or medicines to put you on. I'm sure we are talking about tons

and tons of money.......

Is that kind of money being put towards lyme reserarch??

I have read daily in the paper about West Nile, and nothing about Lyme. We

don't go a day without talking about someone with Lyme disease. I have yet

to talk to anyone who knows anyone that has been afflicted, or even knows of

anyone else that has West Nile. That doesn't say I don't feel it is

serious, and needs research and attention. I do and feel sorry for those who

have died and their families. But what about Lyme infected people, those

people that have died and their families............those numbers certainly

outweigh the numbers of West Nile...........but yet...........the government

is moving fast on West Nile Virus, but not on Lyme disease. This is what

makes me so angry.........

..I haven't been on and off IV...........actually I have been quite normal,

feeling very good, except for some eye problems, what would have been

almost two years this month of feeling great.....ended. Unfortunately,

while visiting friends in MD, this summer, I was bitten by another tick.

It was positive for lyme. I am infected again.

I am fighting for IV treatment.........because it was what helped me

before......after 8 months I went into remission the first time (that was

after two years of trying other abx first).......(IV helped me before, it

doesn't mean it is the right treatment for Everyone)

The reason we are going that way (my LLMD and myself) is because we killed

off the new lyme bacteria with oral Ceftin, but the reactivated old lyme

bacteria.........(without a doubt.......my symptoms tell me that the old

lyme is reactivated) . I just feel that since the old bacteria responded

to IV Rocephin.............that was the direction to go.

Only I sit her with a PICC line and no Rocephin.........and you sit there

with Rocephin and no PICC line................

And the sad part is...............YOU NEED IT MORE THAN I DO!!

At this time................What is wrong with the medical community!!!
