I have tried to refind it..and can't find it..need this info as dr is writing script and faxing it to pharmacy tomorrow. I want to take the correct dose and not go into HYPER-thyroid, as that can be as bad as hypo to the body. I am so excited to be trying something new that appears to be helping lots of folks. Glad to have found this place! So much good info
Guest guest
Not sure if you found the following info or not: Folks with Hashi's (I'm one) are to start dosing at 1.5mg, working up to the full dose 4.5mg and watching for HypEr symptoms (I doubled the dose at approx. 2-week intervals). If such symptoms develop, the idea is to lower the thyroid hormone dose because LDN is healing the need for them, a good thing. In fact I never have had a single hypEr symptom from LDN. It's thought that those of us with longstanding illness, particularly those of us who went undiagnosed/untreated for long periods, probably won't get much function back (necessitating the lowering of the thyroid meds). It's pretty much emphasized that the earlier the diagnosis and followup with LDN, for any illness, the better the prognosis under LDN. However, I don't really care whether I get back thyroid function, that would be fine but it doesn't seem to be going to happen. My main concern is that my brain fog and low energy and pain levels (I also have fibromyalgia) have been majorly relieved. I just want to function as a productive human being and have a little energy left over for art and music, which I've been having since LDN started in late December 09. I would also direct your attention to the group Iodine, the iodine protocol has also been of profound value to me. You're very fortunate to have such a good doctor for helping you. Welcome to LDN and we're always interested in personal reports in how you're doing. -- >Never mind. I found the search engine on the site (of course shortly >after I sent the post) only fellow immune suffers understand that one...LOL > >We will keep an eye on my " levels " and reduce " SYNTHROID + Cytomel " as >required. It's just never simple w/that thyroid stuff!!! > >Sorry I goofed on my first question...Still glad to be here > >Love my Dr. for giving me this power to decide!! > > > > >No virus found in this incoming message. >Checked by AVG - www.avg.com >Version: 9.0.733 / Virus Database: 271.1.1/2680 - Release Date: 02/10/10 >13:38:00 ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J.
