It's ok to take melatonin - I've taken it the entire time that I have been on LDN - no problems.

They work by different action - anyone used both? any concerns? Thanks, Eleanor

Eleanor, absolutely FINE with LDN...I've been taking .25mg Melatonin and 500 mg Inositol for a couple years and get the best sleep. I had been adding .25mg Lorazepam as a topper but since being on LDN I'm finding I almost don't need the Lorazepam to help sleep deep and long. Some have reported sleep issues and take more Melatonin but I haven't had to do that as I'm still taking LDN at 9AM....can't afford sleep issues. Seems to be OK for me. joyce

Maybe some day, I'll try the night dose again. Did it in the beginning but was up too much during the night.

[low dose naltrexone] Melatonin with LDN ok?

I do, 3 mg. Melatonin and 4.5 LDN, no problem at all. Wouldn't

do without either.

Can LDN be taken with other medications such as tranquilizers or chemotherapy?

How about interactions with alcohol or tobacco?

LDN can be taken along with any other medication or substance, so long as it is

not narcotic-containing. Naltrexone is a pure opioid antagonist and it will

block the action of narcotics. Some examples of narcotic-containing drugs are

Ultram, morphine, Percocet, Duragesic patch and any codeine-containing

medication.

I open up one 3mg capsule and divide it up with a razor blade into 4 equal

piles. Then I take one pile a night. Also use Valerian root. I'm on 4.5 mg LDN

too. ~
