Guest guest
Someone stated here that one can get 70% endorphin boost at night and 30% endorphin boost during the day. I'm still on the 9AM dosing. Where this is in print, I don't know. [low dose naltrexone] Endorphins only at night? Can someone please point me to some science behind the Bihari statement that: "endorphins are made only between two and four in themorning". I can't find any reference to nighttime endorphin production. Endorphins are also obviously produced during the day when it comes to sex, "Runners High", pain, spicy foods, etc. No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG - www.avg.com Version: 9.0.733 / Virus Database: 271.1.1/2682 - Release Date: 02/11/10 08:09:
Guest guest
I recently had a Drs appointmnet and I asked if I should take it during the day or something to that effect and he was very adamant(sp?) that it should only be taken at night. I trust him very much and he has been very supportive with letters for my employer. FYI PS I had been taking it for months during the day because I had trouble sleeping at night. But with new meds and CPAP, I am sleeping more solidly now and much longer!! Feeling better. Posted by: "JOYCE MARTINO" jam2006@... jam2006@... Guest guest
Dr Zagon, in an interview with Boyle Bradley, confessed to being the source of the misinformation about the " necessity " of night dosage. He has retracted that, based on the extensive animal studies at Penn State, and says a person can take it anytime. He recommends day time dosing to anyone who has experienced lingering side effects from the night time dosing. Anyone who may want to chase this down, go to Bradley's blog talk radio web site and listen to the interview with Dr. Zagon. You will hear it from him there, with all of the detail of his explanation. Guest guest
dr zagon cannot change the fact that endorphines are produced between 2-4 am.dr zagon have little experience with treating people.the doctors with more experience with people like dr bihari,dr berkson and dr mccandless recomend to take it after 22.00. dr skip is of the same mind. dr mccandless developed specially the transdermal cream for the autists children so the parents can smear it after 22.00 without waking the children. Guest guest
Quote: " The brief blockade of opioid receptors between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. that is caused by taking LDN at bedtime each night is BELIEVED to produce a prolonged up-regulation of vital elements of the immune system by causing an increase in endorphin and enkephalin production. [Emphasis added.] " It's a theory, an educated guess as to why LDN works. We can't say for certain that it's a fact until enough scientific research has been conducted. It's entirely possible that Dr. Bihari's theory will eventually be disproven. Fortunately for us, LDN still works even if we don't know for sure why it works. > > > > Can someone please point me to some science behind the Bihari statement that: " endorphins are made only between two and four in the > > morning " . Guest guest
What dosage and frequency should my physician prescribe? http://www.low dose naltrexone.org/#What_dosage_and_frequency LDN Taken of a Morning vs Night http://ldn.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=forum & action=display & thread=1219 Why I do Bihari dosing protocol over Zagon/Gilhool http://ldn.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=links & action=display & thread=1470 LDN-day/night dosing controversy/research http://ldn.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=forum & action=display & thread=1541 Mechanisms involved in beneficial effect of LDN http://ldn.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=forum & action=display & thread=1297 Speaking for myself, I have experimented with morning dosing, skipping doses, increasing and reducing doses and find taking 4.5mgs LDN every night at 10pm to be right for me and my multiple sclerosis. I have been a member of this group for almost five years and have been using LDN since March 2005 and most LDN users I know follow almost the same protocol and successfully. 3-4.mgs every night between the hours of 9pm and 3am. Guest guest
Dr. Tom Gilhooly says that taking LDN at night is not necessary, and he recommends taking it during the day to minimize the impact on sleep. See: http://glasgowldn2009.com/2009/02/ldn-dose-timing/ Be sure to also read the comments on that page. > > dr zagon cannot change the fact that endorphines are produced between 2-4 am.dr zagon have little experience with treating people.the doctors with more experience with people like dr bihari,dr berkson and dr mccandless recomend to take it after 22.00. > dr skip is of the same mind. > dr mccandless developed specially the transdermal cream for the autists children so the parents can smear it after 22.00 without waking the children. >
Guest guest
every one must choose his doctor.i think that dr berkson and mccandless are the good once.everyone is free to choose.ifit is impossible to take at night then better in the day then nothing.it is second best and many were telling their experience about it.
