Excellent post Jan,

I'd also add another reason to find an experienced and trained mercury-free or

biological dentist. You need to work with someone who has knowledge and access

to testing you for the least reactive replacement for the metal fillings. This

is very important for anyone with health issues especially. Note that I use the

words, " least reactive " . As all foreign substances will cause some reaction. But

by checking through a blood test you can determine the safest materials. Also,

an experienced biological dentist will know the best labs that make compatable

materials from the purest sources. You can go to two dentists who will offer for

example porceline replacements. One may have everything from metals to highly

impure and reactive materials; while the other is far safer.

An experienced dentist will also have knowledge of detox methods that will help

before during and after amalgum removal. If you can't find access to an

experienced dentist than the next best thing is to try and find a dentist that

is willing to work with you and who wants to learn about safe protocols. The

latter would require you to really be on top of everything you do with this

dentist. If they are interested enough, they may be able to get some training or

at least read the Huggins materials and learn with you. Another good book to

read is called; " Whole Body Dentistry " . Google that and you'll find it at all

the booksellers. It is pretty easy reading and falls in line with alot of Hal

Huggins pioneering protocols.

Hope this further helps, Jan's great post.Jac

have been through mercury poisoning and having all my amalgams removed.

I do have a word of warning: FIND A MERCURY FREE DENTIST before removing those

mercury fillings. They are better left in your teeth than have them removed

incorrectly.

Go to Hal Huggins website at www.hugginsappliedh ealing.com and look up dentists

who have been trained to remove them properly. ('Find a Dentist')

I got poisoning because I had some amalgams removed with a dentist who didn't

know about the dangers. As fillings are removed via drilling, the filling

material (mercury amalgams) is heated up. Mercury turns to vapor at around 98

degrees. Drilling takes your mouth temperature up to over 100 degrees and the

mercury instantly vaporizes in your mouth. It is immediately absorbed and

transported by blood all over your body.

You need to be completely draped, a big vacuum in front of your mouth, being

chelated for mercury, with a mouth dam inserted. My mercury free dentist wore a

gas mask when he worked on me. If your dentist doesn't do at least these things,

he doesn't know enough about the dangers of mercury in amalgams.

I can't stress using a mercury free dentist enough. My regular dentist is a very

good dentist. He just wasn't trained to know how dangerous the mercury is.

Dentist school scoffs at anyone saying mercury in the mouth is dangerous.

Dentists can't tell you it is dangerous or they lose their license in most

states.

No one with Lyme needs the extra burden of mercury poisoning when it can be

avoided.

Blessings,

Jan

Hi,

Drug chelation can be hard on your system, especially if you are already

struggling with abx.

I'd try to find a naturopath that is knowledgeable in heavy metal issues. Doing

this on your own may not be the best way.

If you don't have that, I'd start with eating seaweed. Seaweeds take out heavy

metals and generally detox the system. Macrobiotic cookbooks can help you with

recipes that taste good. Arame is usually a good introduction to seaweeds. I

love hijiki but some find it too strong.

Drink lots of water. Do whatever your body needs to flush out and keep the

elimination channels working.

Saunas are also good, but not everyone does well in them. I am going for colon

hydrotherapy which seems to help me. Skin brushing is also good. The skin is our

largest organ and often ignored. If your skin is bad, then you probably have

organs inside that are overly toxic and unable to process it all. They then send

toxins out to the skin as a last ditch effort to get the stuff out of your body.

Honor what your body needs. Feed it good food, stay away from anything

processed. Don't worry about it all. Do what you can to support your healing and

enjoy your life. You are NOT your illness. Your illness is merely your life

journey (with speed bumps).

Good luck!

can take that will be mild on my system, I'm on/off ABX's for the Lyme and

they're killing me.

I would worry about heavy metals and other toxins in seaweed when using more

than a small amount. This is a known problem almost everywhere in the world

nowadays. Maybe there are sources that check for this and guarantee quality, but

I guess a lot comes from Japan etc. where I don't think seaweed is safe because

of their industrial history.

An alternative is chlorella, similar action (contains plant stuff that binds

certain toxins). Chlorella is grown in ponds where I think it is easier to

control quality (just a guess, they might as well fill the ponds with normal sea

water ...).

I agree that good taste is an argument for seaweed, chlorella is not really

tasty.

I bought broken cell wall chlorella from Mercola. It is pleasant tasting

and it supposedly comes from a high quality source. Another supposedly

helpful mercury binder is cilantro. There is a delicious recipe for

cilantro pesto you can make which has seaweed powder in it, plus brazil nuts

for selenium, etc. I'll see if I can post the file.

I am relatively new to this group. I have not gotten into the Buhner

protocol yet. I tried Japanese knotweed (resveratrol) first. Not sure if

it was that but I couldn't tolerate something due to GI distress so I

stopped it (has anyone else had this issue?).

I am on another group (dougplus), using colloidal (ionic) silver and a

machine called the DP100 which cycles through frequencies randomly and does

the whole body all at once. I have been doing this for a couple months

although really only reaching recommended levels in the past week or so. So

far I am experiencing positive results for certain symptoms (less fatigue,

brain fog, vision problems) but still have neuro issues (tinnitus, burning

in hip, back and GI, and feeling the vibration lately). I will continue my

current protocol and see if I continue to improve.

still trying to find fresh cilantro here ...

GI issues are a known factor for some of the knotweed pills, due to the binder

that is used. Some of the Source Naturals pills had this 1-2 years ago, I'm not

sure if it is still an issue because the products was changed a few times since

then.

I had severe gut problems with the Source Naturals knotweed pills, not with the

bulk herbs (but a few people have reported gut problems with all versions).
