Guest guest
deb, I wonder if you used it in the right proportion? The first time I used it, I used the proportions for tea! But when I reduced the amount of stephania, I found it worked very well to help my eyes. ellen > > > > From: Pat Palmer <mpatpalm@> > > Subject: [ ] 's story & questions > > > > Date: Thursday, December 16, 2010, 10:25 AM > > > > > > > > Many thanks for your story - I'm an herbalist in NorCal working with several LL Docs to work with antibiotics AND herbs... particularly for the newly bitten, antibiotics are a must... not that I like them, but they work... and lots of follow up with knotweed, teasel, & cats claw (which I got to see in the jungles of Peru)... I'm curious about (1) success stories with tinnitus & other head problems with Stephania and (2) experience with Smilax (Sasparilla)....... > > > > Pat Palmer, Registered Herbalist www.herbalenergetics.com > > The Philo School of Herbal Energetics > > The Star Angels are transmitters and the flowers are symbols of their > > communications. Guest guest
Hi, This is from p. 170: " stephania root, 1/2 teaspoon, of the tincture 3x daily, eyewash with decoction. vincamine, 20 mg 3X daily 1000 mg Vitamin C, 3x daily, (effervescent salts) Zinc, 60 mg daily. " And in the section on stephania root: 3-9 grams of the whole herb are taken daily or 5-10 grams slow-boiled (simmered) in one half to one quart of water (decoction) for 60 minutes and consumed daily. The decoction can be used topically for eye inflammations as well as taken internally. Let cool. ---I used the dried herb. I don't remember how much I used. I didn't actually follow the directions above, bec. I don't have anything that measures grams. Perhaps I followed a recipe that someone on this list gave me. sorry I can't be more help, but perhaps the above will help. regards, ellen > > > > > > From: Pat Palmer <mpatpalm@> > > > Subject: [ ] 's story & questions > > > > > > Date: Thursday, December 16, 2010, 10:25 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > Many thanks for your story - I'm an herbalist in NorCal working with several LL Docs to work with antibiotics AND herbs... particularly for the newly bitten, antibiotics are a must... not that I like them, but they work... and lots of follow up with knotweed, teasel, & cats claw (which I got to see in the jungles of Peru)... Guest guest
Although the eyewash does burn, it is effective. Guest guest
Here is link to a recipe on ehow.com. http://www.ehow.com/how_5237109_use-eyewash-tea-lyme-disease.html It calls for 4 oz of the root. This is likely a typo. 4 oz equals 113.398 g which is far too much!!! I asked the author to clarify but it was never changed online. I am assuming they meant 4 g. deb > > > > > > > > From: Pat Palmer <mpatpalm@> > > > > Subject: [ ] 's story & questions > > > > > > > > Date: Thursday, December 16, 2010, 10:25 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Many thanks for your story - I'm an herbalist in NorCal working with several LL Docs to work with antibiotics AND herbs... particularly for the newly bitten, antibiotics are a must... not that I like them, but they work... and lots of follow up with knotweed, teasel, & cats claw (which I got to see in the jungles of Peru)...
