Taking ldn has significantly reduced the number and severity of my muscle spasms. But this took several months to be noticeable. I've now been onldn for well over five years and I only have the very occasional spasm.

Hi folks--

In the last 4 months or so I've developed a new symptom-- excruciating

muscle spasms, primarily in my legs and feet, but also in my hands, sometimes my

back, and most frighteningly in my bronchial tube/throat. While I have many

symptoms that you'd think would improve with magnesium, magnesium makes it much,

much worse. I've tried many forms of it. I just started taking taurine which

has a lot to do with magnesium metabolism, but wanted to know if other people

have had these symptoms. They come with burning, tingling, pins and needles and

sharp, shooting pains, mostly in feet and legs, some in my face and hands.

I was in a wheelchair for two years following a stroke and incredibly hard

work and the Cuban medical system got me out of it. Now I'm back in because of

the cramping/nerve pain. (I had some of this type pain on my stroke side, but

it's now all over my body.)

My Lyme doc wants to fortify my elimination systems before attacking

pathogens, so what I'm looking for is relief of the symptoms as we move toward

working on root causes.

I already take B12. Will probably try increasing B6 as well.

Thanks, Aurora

When the Lyme bacteria go into cystic form, the cyst wall is composed of your

calcium.

In my case, my blood calcium levels got so low I fractured 2 bones in my feet.

I was also

having muscle twitches, so it made sense to mo to get a blood work up.

Now I take high quality calcium/vit D3/magnesium supplements. Within a week,

the twitching

stopped...

Got oil?

Good news! I'm sure you're aware that soaking in epsom salts is also taking

magnesium citrate transdermally.

This is confirmation that magnesium ends spasms.

because for several minutes I had a problem walkingand it was quite painful. My

friend said I should try soaking my feet in Epsom salt 2x a day for 20 min. and

that should work. YES it does ! For 4 days now I haven't had a spasm. Awesome

and its pennys to buy at the grocery store. Try it and see for yourself.

I've heard that magnesium oil is a good way to get it transdermally - I made

some by buying nigari flakes (used for making tofu) - cheap and supposedly the

best kind (food grade).

[low dose naltrexone] Re: muscle spasms

There is a co. at www.pureessencelabs.com that sells a product called Ionic-Fizz

Magnesium Plus. It's a powder (magnesium) that you drink (mixed with water) and it

relieves my muscle cramps in a matter of minutes. I have used it for about 2 yrs.

Take care,

Bill H.
