Please if anyone close to me is going I want to go...I live in Lititz PA. But

my husband can't go..but my children and I would love to support this. I am

having to pay out of pocket for the medical bills too....I think this is unfair

and unjust. I ache to be there and be another head count. I am pretty good at

drawing and stuff and have pretty good penmenship so I would be willing to make

signs....Although my spelling stinks...And I use to write in our school

newspaper..I am the one who would write the poetry and cover club events and

stuff...I even got to cover a 911 recording...if you remember the show...My mom

was the star I guess you could say...lol...so I had an advantage. She is an

EMT...I was at one point to ...was planing on getting my Paramedic degree..but

no I had to get sick...lol...also became a Mother which has always been my

biggest dream...so at least I have that to be very proud of.

Anyway let me know how I can help....I am a willing hand. I don't dare drive

since I am a scardy cat in big traffic...also I would get so lost. Remember I

was an Idahoan...lol....I was even a russet....lol...that was our school mascot.

It seems very funny now expecially since in High school I was so proud that we

were different than anyone else....everyone else was cougars, tigers and so

forth...I think the only mascot that would be worse was the Trujans...I think

there is a condom..lol...that is called that.

We go in today to the doctor to discuss 's treatments. I will let you guys

know how it goes later...

Okay thanks....hope I can help.

[ ] Action Alert with Transportation and Hotel Info

TIME TO PROTEST SENATOR HANNON

Although we know all you wonderful people have sent hundreds or thousand

of letters to Senator Hannon, WE HAVE STILL NOT HEARD BACK FROM HIM!!

He has refused to act on any of our requests for help in the past couple

of years. He is now refusing to meet with us in-person to discuss

Bill A11330,

the GOTTFRIED/LENTOL/MILLER/MAYERSOHN REFORM BILL. The bill would

give due process rights to physicians in dealing with the OPMC.

Insurance companies would no longer have the luxury of using an

unrestrained OPMC to revoke the license of doctors they feel are costing

them too much moey

Because HANNON is the Chair of the Senate Health Committee, without his

support this bill will not pass.

If this legislative session ends (mid-June) without passing this bill,

the OPMC can use the 6 months before the legislature reconvenes to start

another witch hunt against ALL OUR LLMDs.

The OPMC has already shown its arrogance and determination to harass our

LLMD's by appealing the favorable hearing panel decision on Dr. B last

November, right on the eve of the Albany Assembly hearing! None of

us want to have to fight that fight again, so we must get legislative

reform that puts restraints on an OPMC that has been clearly out of

control.

WE MUST PROTEST IN FRONT OF SENATOR HANNON'S L.I. OFFICE ON MAY 29th. We

know everyone is exhausted and sick, but we cannot permit Senator Hannon

to continue his contemptuous dismissal of the Lyme community. We must

get his support for this bill.

For this protest there is the likelihood of major media coverage, so a

big turnout will put much pressure on Senator Hannon who is running for

re-election in November.

PROTEST INFO:

WHO: ALL Lyme disease patients from ALL STATES, their friends and

family

should attend.

Attendance of New Yorkers is particularly important.

WHERE: Outside of 1600 Avenue, Westbury. LI. NY.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 29th at 12:30 pm.

BRING: Yourself. If you can, also bring friends, family and protest

signs about Lyme disease, or supporting OPMC Reform, or protesting

Hannon's indifference to us. If you are a medical professional, it

would also be great if you could come in uniform or otherwise indicate

your profession.

the protest site.

,

Wonderful news that you and your children would like to come for the

protest. There is a charted bus coming from your area. Go to

www.lymeinfo.net for details. Hope the pick-up site is near enough

to you to work out. If not, let us know, and we will see if we can

help you find an alternate solution.

Also great news that you may be able to make some signs. We would

especially like a series of signs that reproduce the text of the

resolution that was passed. A copy of that is also available at

lymeinfo.net. The idea would be to put one paragraph on each sign.

Then a group of patients could stand together holding them in

sequence. Please let us know if you would be able to take this on.

I am sorry that you have had so much difficulty as a Lyme patient.

This is an excellent way to make life better for ourselves. As you

know, what happens in New York effects all of us.

Looking forward to meeting you and your children in Westbury, Long

Island, New York, May 29th, 12:30 p.m.
