I need a tooth pulled, had it scheduled but I was so sick I never did it and a few cavities. Is there any reason I shouldn't do this while sick? Guest guest
Hi , I had teeth pain through out my entire time with Lyme disease.............just means nerve involvement. It moved around for me too............My Lyme Dr. prescribed Vioxx and within 20 minutes the pain would disappear...............sometimes I couldn't even eat, because the pain was so great...........and my dentist couldn't find anything wrong with my teeth either............my LLMD and I started to use the teeth pain as a monitor as to how well we were doing at killing off the bacteria..........the less teeth pain I had.........the better the abx was doing........ Now I have absolutely no teeth pain..........but then again, I'm also in remission. Just don't go having teeth pulled and root canals..........Sounds to me like Nerve involvement.............do you have a lot of fillings? They love to go to the weakest nerves in your body.............my mouth is loaded with fillings. I also avoided the dentist, cleanings put me into severe pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope that helps, Connie nwnj Leave no stone unturned.......and ask questions!
Guest guest
Thanks for your reply, conniek. Fortunately my dentist did several tests on my teeth and found nothing that would warrant a root canal or extraction. She said it must be from the lyme, even though she knew nothing about lyme. I had told her that it can affect the teeth and jaw and she listened!
