Welcome! and good on your for joining - I find it really good to be

able to talk to people in the same position that know what your

going through! I think hyothyroidism is one of those illnesses that

seems to other people to just be a form of hypochondria!

My name is Natt, I live in New Zealand and was born with congenital

hypothyroidism (without a thyroid at all) Ive never had any problems

with my condition besides incompetent doctors. Im also a new mum to

healthy 4 month old Corey :-)

> Hi - my name is Carolyn. I typically don't join groups and talk

to to people I don't know so this is kind of new to me. Excuse me

if I'm a little green.

>

> I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 2 years ago. I started

having symptoms right after the birth of my second child. But I

didn't recognize them as anything other than a post partum induced

funky stage. It was 7 months later that I started having serious

issues with weakness in my limbs and being very slow feeling. I

finally bit the bullet and made an appointment with my doc after I

realized that everytime I turned right in my car I would hit the

curb, even when I made an effort not to. I just knew I had a brain

tumor or something. Good thing it was just hypo. Anyhow, since

then I've been on lots of different doses of Levathroid and can't

ever stay in one place for too long. It didn't help that I have

since had a 3rd child which complicates getting my dosage right.

Now I take 200 mcg a day but I'm not so sure its enough. I'm due

for an appointment to check that out.

Shame on you Chuck, 'your wife is always hitting the curb and she's NOT

hypo!! Shame on you! (LOL)

Funny though I can really relate, before treatment my driving judgement was

off and I was always hitting curbs and clipping stuff and backing the rear

end of my car into walls due to my ususal good judgement being out of whack.

I keep taking the tablets and I am much better now!!!!

Hey you,

Don't be fresh! I will have you know I am an excellent hypo driver! Just ask

my children, I have never clipped a wing mirror or killed a

pedestrian.......... yet!!!!! LOL

Before treatment I did use to forget I had not dropped the children off at

school, and found myself driving to work with them still in the back saying

to myself, have I forgotten something?

When brain fog descends I have been known to forget where I parked my car,

and before you say it I will, 'typical woman' (not)!!!! Greetings to your

long suffering wife.........

When our oldest was still a newborn, my wife once drove off and

unknowingly left the baby at a friend's house. They called her at home

and asked, " Did you forget something? " She was mortified.

One aspect of post-partem syndrome is reduced thyroid function. It is

usually temporary, though.

Hi Chuck,

I did a similar thing with my eldest who was twenty one on 12th April. I

used to carry him around in one of those baby slings on my chest. I got so

used to taking him every where in this mode. Anyway, when my mother came to

stay with me for a while, she suggested one afternoon while my son was

sleeping I should leave him and go out and get some shopping, she would take

care of him.

I went to several shops and was out of the house for over an hour zipping

around from shop to shop. I did my shopping got to the bus stop exhausted

then let out the biggest OH MY GOD! Everyone at the bus stop looked at me

wondering what was wrong.

I was searching my mind trying to remember when and in which shop I had left

my baby, but of course he was at home with my mother!!!

The panic I felt in my heart trying to think where I had laid him down

PHEW!!

Hi Faith

Welcome to the group. I think you will find a lot of information and

support here to help you recover.

As I live on the other side of the world I am not aware of the

supplaments you are taking. Are they natural extracts or man-made

chemicals? I would advise you to stay away from the latter. The body

can heal itself given the right conditions. Man-made chemicals tend to

delay the healing as they overload the liver and kidneys.

Please read Bee's " how to overcome candida " in the files. Then come

back with questions.

I also have leaky gut and have had for probably 10 years may be more.

It is very important to follow Bee's Candida diet protocol and take

natural antifungals such as garlic.

best of health to you

Irene

Ambrotose is very much natural. It is natural sugars that our bodies are

lacking because of our diet. We need these sugars for proper cell

communication.

They maintain and balance our immune system, helping to bring us to achieve

optimum health and prevent even the most insidious of today's killer

diseases. You will find plenty of information at _www.GlycoScience.org_

(http://www.GlycoScience.org) , and also

_wwwGoldenkeys.net_ (http://www.goldenkeys.net) . I have read such wonderful

stories of people with all kinds of physical problems being helped and made

whole again.

Hi Faith,

Welcome to our candida group! Be prepared to learn a lot about the

right diet for curing candida, so please read the main article " How

to Successfully Overcome Candida " thoroughly. There are also handy

lists in the " Candida Diet " folder. Diet is critical for curing

candida, and our diet is very different from many others, but it is

the most successful, as witnessed by many members who swear by it.

What is recommended on this group are mostly whole nutrient-dense

foods, especially meats and eggs, and also " good " saturated fats such

as butter, coconut oil, etc. - this is explained in the article. We

recommend very few fractionated products, most of which are very

complex, which make it difficult to know what is good and what isn't.

Also, sometimes candida sufferers go on products before following

a " good " diet, and often they are overwhelming their bodies, which

creates too many symptoms at a time when nutrients are critical.

That is why our candida program is followed step by step - starting

with the diet and essential supplements which help the body start its

healing process the way it should.

I do not know about the products you are using, but we also do not

recommend cleansing formulas for candida sufferers. They are usually

too strong, complicated, and hard for the body to handle. Again,

diet is most important. You would do much better starting with the

diet recommended, which naturally cleanses the body. After you've

had a chance to read the main article and other articles in our files

please do get back to us with questions.

The best in health,

Bee

Hi Rita,

Welcome to our group!

I'd recommend you take Dr. Crook's candida questionnaire. The link is on

the webpage. It is probably the most reliable way to determine if you

are likely to have a candida overgrowth problem.

Also, be sure to read Bee's files on candida in the files section.

There's a lot of data there and it will probably take you a while but it's

worth the time!

Hi, I've had hypothyroidism for 9 months and am still struggling with the weight

issue. I gained 50 pounds, however, since I have began taking my meds (T3 and

T4) I stopped gaining weight. I've only lost 2 pounds and am still struggling

to loose weight. I was wondering if anyone has read the book, The Thyroid Diet

and if it helped. I hope your weight comes off easier!

there was a perfect bulls eye rash. No doctor would order the test.

to a neuro (after dx'ing a thyroid problem...never testing for Lymes which

participate in her study. She said that almost 75% of the people she tested

negative. She was doing some sort of dark field live blood analysis. I was

able to see the screen of what she was looking at under the microscope and

hey Dawn,

Hang in there,

well a herx reation is when the Lyme is dying off and your symptoms get worse

for a while and then when you stop herxing you tend to feel a little better,

because the Lyme load is down they died off.

And if you want to know more about the Rife machine, you may want to join the

group called Lyme-and-rife group.

Also a website for the Rife machine is http://www.rife-machine.com/

www.Lymebook.com

hope this helps.

Hi , I too have hypothyroid (mine is from Hashimoto) which I suspect

has been cause because of candida. Of course when you bring up the issue

with reg. docs and endos, they give you the usual line " if you have

generalized candida, you'd be on your death bed " - what do they know. lol.

I've been diagnosed since 1998 with Hypothyroid but just really started

getting it under control over the past year. I've also been suspecting my

filling mercury fillings taxing my internal organs allowing the candida an

easier road to invasion. I've learned a lot from being on the hypothyroid

group in . Curezone.com also has a lot of good stuff. Depending on what

tests have been run on your thyroid, you may or may not be correctly

medicated for it. Most docs only do TSH and TT4 levels but the full panel

needs to be run to include TSH, FT3, FT4, TT4, TT3, thyroid Antibodies, you

might also do RT3 and RT4 to test for Temperature syndrome. Good

luck.

[ ] new to group

I have celiac sprue and went from eating gluten free to BTVC diet and now

eating the Candida diet. Doing really well on just eating protein, in

coconut oil and low starch veggies. Problem is that I crave small portions

of carbs, like butternut squash and then fall.

I feel like I am on a roller coaster. Their has to be a happy medium.

With all the diets, I feel this is the way to eat. I do take a acidolphus

pill twice a day or with meals. I also take L-glutamine powder 3 xs a day

which helps.

I also take gyemena slvestre twice a day to help sugar balance and to help

not crave sugar.

Iam 55 years young, have had 3 children all grown and have 2

grandchildren. Seems like I have had this all my life. I can get it under

cotnrol and then fall.

Diet works, but am wanting to know if I need candida killer as well. Does

this yeast infection have anything to do with mercury toxicity. I was also

told that diet can help with that.

I also have low thyorid which seems to go up and down.

Hi Mike,

Sounds like my dentists too who, when I brought up the mercury fillings,

say if people were getting poisoned from them, they'd be dead. They fail to

say we're dying slowly & gradually from it tho, don't they? Little do they

know.

I also no longer give a hoot what the doctors say when they take the usual

TSH thyroid tests only & then presume that's all they need to know about

what we do or don't need. Which usually means their chemical, synthetic T-4

so-called thyroid supplementation only.

I am my own best guide now knowing if my body is becoming too hyper or hypo

& I adjust my own natural porcine thyroid doses accordingly. On this candida

diet for the past 3 months, I've lessened the dose from 3 grains of natural

porcine thyroid down to l/2 grain twice a day now.

If the diet is helping me, at my age (68), it can help anyone. And that's

just the thyroid problems it's helped me with. I'm sure it's clearing out

the mercury toxicity as well & I'm getting rid of all filled teeth for

dentures soon so that I have only one filled tooth left.

There is so much more other improvement in other areas too tho I've got a

long way to go yet. but the diet works if we stay on it & give it a chance.

==>Hi . What is BTVC ? You can cut your cravings by taking

extra Vit. C - see our " Candida Diet " folder for the article on

Withdrawal Symptoms. Also taking coconut oil when you crave can

help. The clove tea drink helps, as well as Pau D'Arco tea. Also

see our recipe files for the Snacks. But do re-check your diet

crushed garlic and oil of oregano are two of the best. If you've

been on the diet for awhile you could add them. The diet itself

helps your body get rid of heavy metals, esp. the good fats. Have

plenty of butter!

> I also have low thyorid which seems to go up and down.

==>That is also caused by candida. I lost my thyroid due to

tampering with it too much when I was curing my candida back in the

mid 1980s. Candida toxins are mostly alcohol and it causes all of

the body's cells to go rigid which means hormones produced by the

body are not getting where they need to be to do their job.

I dont understand what folders everyone is talking about to refer back to.
