Hello,

I'm still off meds and doing fairly well (went on a bicycle trip last

weekend and did 27 miles one day) but because of mild achiness and

stiffness in my hands, I'm considering taking the sulfasalazine the

rheumy prescribed. However, I just researched common side effects, and

saw that headache and malaise are common, as well as diarrhea. It's

hard to think about taking something that could cause those things at a

time when I am feeling pretty good! Also, because of its yellow-orange

color, the med causes urine, sweat and tears to turn orange! The orange

sweat can even stain clothing. Yuck. And yet, I want to prevent joint

damage...
