1) Who diagnoses fibromyalgia? I am always tired and sometimes it is a struggle just to make it thru the day.

2) When you are on Remicade, do you still have to take mtx?

1. A Rheumatologist can diagnose Fibro.

2. I am not sure about Remicade, but the only thing I take for my RA is Humira.

Hi , 1: yes a Rheumatologist can dx fibro. 2: I took remicaid and MTX both for a year so you can take both dear my Dr said It work better togeather I forget the reason . Now if you are asking if you have to do it now I'm not sure about an absolute there's many differant oppions among differant drs . john <catdelouise@...>

RD doses Fibro, as well as chronic fatigue. Remicade works best with a low dose of MTX. I take two pills only. I slept 12 hours roughly today. Just got up. Went to bed at 5am and slept until 5pm. Its the weather. Highs and lows, heat and humidity. Dragging sounds like chronic fatigue. Fibro is muscle pain. Hugs, Deborah

While a rheumatologist is usually best for

diagnosing fibromyalgia some do not seem to believe in it so if you and

your rheumatologist disagree about this you might want a second opinion.

Remicade is a protein that is different from

those normally in the human body so a DMARD like Methotrexate is usually

taken along with it to reduce the chance of the body identifying it as

foreign and developing antibodies to counteract it. The Methotrexate

is supposed to make the Remicade be effective longer than it would be
