Guest guest
Congratulations, ! I am 32 weeks pregnant and have been on Humira the whole time. I felt I could not have done it with out the med keeping me from massively flaring, which can cause miscarriages. Humira is in the Pregnancy B category. It is believed to be safe for fetuses. I am currently in a small study for pregnant women who are taking Humira and other drugs. Please email me if you would like to be in it, its not inconvenient at all and I feel I am doing a lot of good for those coming after me. Of course, email me with any questions too. Congrats again! > > Well, I'm pregnant! Guest guest
Dear , I am pretty sure that most of us will agree that drinking kefir while you are trying to get pregnant is a bad idea. Generally speaking, it will make a big mess on the bed and is really hard to get out, and it will probably seep all of the way to the mattress. However, you have proven that drinking kefir before trying to get pregnant works. (:->) So, can we all agree that kefir causes pregnancy? (:->) Seriously, , most of warnings that you read about on health products about pregnant and lactating women not taking their product is about companies trying to avoid lawsuits. If something should go wrong, guess who will get blamed. And with today's science retarded juries, the juries will probably agree with the plaintiffs. I feel that health is sort of whole body, and if it helped you lose weight (which, by the way, it has not seemed to have helped me lose weight) AND get pregnant, I would be astonished that it was not good for you while you were pregnant. It would simply not make any sense. It is the anti-biotic, pharmaceutical drugs that help one thing and hurt something else. But, it is entirely your decision. , 40 years health hobbyist and Katrina Bird's Incredibly Lucky Daddy From: beaner892000@... Date: Mon, 4 Jul 2011 15:12:47 +0000 Subject: I'm pregnant! I shared recently that I was trying to get pregnant and was wondering if kefir is ok to drink during pregnancy. Here are the details I left out. I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 1/2 years. It has been very emotional and difficult, with big hopes continually being knocked down to disappointment. There have been lots and lots of tears. I have been overweight for the past 6 years due to weight gain from medications I had to take during a medical crisis. I just could not lose the weight. The only way I lost weight over these past 6 years was if I ate so little food, I was literally starving myself, and I would get dizzy throughout the day (and a couple times, I even passed out) from lack of nutrition. I decided I would rather be overweight than malnourished...though I'd rather be neither. I discussed my inability to become pregnant with my gynecologist last March. She said that it is possible that my hormones are messed up from being overweight, especially since I gained the weight rather quickly, and that that could be preventing me from ovulating. She gave me a referral to a fertility specialist to find out the reason for sure, but she encouraged me to try and lose weight to see if that would help. I had the initial consult with the fertility specialist about 2 weeks ago, and we scheduled all kinds of testing I was going to have done in July. I did some reading and learned even if weight isn't causing infertility, being overweight can make fertility treatments less likely to work (if I had to receive fertility treatments). The doctor I saw in March had said, " You would be surprised how many patients I have seen that couldn't get pregnant, and they lost 40 pounds, and poof...they were pregnant. " I decided I HAD to find a way to lose weight...without starving myself. I came across kefir in a store, and I had some vague memory of reading about kefir somewhere and remembered reading it was really good for you. I did some reading online and decided to buy it in the store and then, decided to start making it at home after talking with Marilyn through a few emails (whom I had found while reading about kefir online). This wasn't even part of my " losing weight " plan...I just wanted to add something healthy to my diet since I am very focused on eating well. I started drinking kefir at the same time that I started my most recent diet, and found that I have been losing weight like mad. I have never been able to eat the amount of food I have been eating and lose weight. The only time I've lost weight in the last 6 years was eating an 800 calorie a day diet...I've been eating 1,800 calories a day and losing 2-3 pounds per week. Recently, I hit my first goal mark, which was 40 pounds. I'd actually lost 41 pounds. And poof...I'm pregnant! I just found out last week. I really think if I hadn't started to drink kefir, I wouldn't be pregnant right now because it has been such a help in getting my body straightened out so I can lose weight in a healthy way. And my boyfriend was hesitant about this whole kefir thing, but he did begin drinking it, and he found he loves it as well. He said when he has a kefir fruit smoothie in the morning as part of his breakfast, he doesn't crave sweets the rest of the day (he has a problem with eating too many sweets). The smoothies completely do away with the cravings for the whole day. I think as he noticed how much better it made him feel, it made him understand better the importance of eating healthy (which I've been trying to tell him for a long time) because I've been able to get him to eat more whole fruits and vegetables as well (which has always been a struggle), and he is talking to me more about healthy food and living a healthier lifestyle. This is a guy who was known to eat a bag of licorice for breakfast...and now, we go to the store each weekend and pick a variety of fruits, excited about the smoothies we will be making that week...and yesterday, he said, " Let's get several different vegetables so we can have mixed vegetables each meal instead of just 1 so we get better coverage of nutrients each meal. " You have no idea what a miracle it is to have had those words come out of his mouth! Three cheers for kefir!!!
