Guest guest
That’s very good. What are you now taking for your RA and how is it doing? God bless. Guest guest
Still taking nothing since I was told to stop the Arava. I see the rheumy on July 13. She mentioned going back to MTX once my liver settled down, but after being off of that for a couple of months I don't feel too excited about restarting. My condition is almost completely inactive right now. I feel good--no pain at all. Sierra > > That's very good. Guest guest
As long as things are doing well I don’t see any real need to go on a DMARD but I think it takes a long time for Arava to leave your system so it could be residual medicine that is causing you to feel good. If your symptoms start up again please let your doctor know so that additional treatment can be started if necessary. God bless. Guest guest
Hi Harold, Yes, I've thought that the Arava could still be helping, though I was only on it for 3 weeks and it's been a month that I've been off it now. It'll be interesting to see what my rheumy recommends. I know that erosions can happen even with an absence of symptoms (my toe is a case in point) and I don't want joint damage. Perhaps close monitoring with X-rays...? I'll let you know what she says. For now, I'm glad to give my liver and kidneys a little break from medicine. Sierra > > > > That's very good.
