Guest guest
Hi You are correct. I post things on here that has nothing to do with RA because so many times I have nothing to post that does have to do with RA and I find humor to be one of the most effective ways I have to deal with my pains and depression. I am sorry if I offended you and if the other list members feel the same way and tell me they prefer me to stop I will do so. There are many, many members on this list who are much more qualified than I am to talk about this disease because they have either had it longer, taken the time to do more research on it or have a stronger network of medical caregivers than I do. Since I lack all of the above I try to contribute in the way I can, which I feel is a positive way and hopefully not a critical way. Again, I apologize if I offended you or anyone else. Please, if other group members are also offended and wish me to stop posting the things I do post let me know and I will. If there is something specific you are wanting to know and you ask a question then I am sure you will get a lot of useful and knowledgeable answers. And a lot of caring and compassionate people will come forth to support you. From what I have seen on this list, someone is facing an issue, asks a question and then a discussion is started and we all get on with our lives until the next time someone needs advice. In the meantime there is not a lot of chatter and I take advantage of that time to let the people here know that I am thinking of them by trying to bring a smile to their face with some humor. I will go back to my lurking corner now and wait for your replies. Ila in Maine mailto:sewcraftyila@... Guest guest
I have no idea what’s happened to this board because it used to be pretty active. Maybe if you would post a comment or question relating to RA you could get an answer. I’m pretty well controlled with Methotrexate and Remicade and I’ve had this for almost 5 years so I don’t have many questions. However, I do like to read what others have to say and offer my opinion on many things. God bless. I thought that I could get USEFUL information about Rheumatoid Arthritis. The past few weeks I have seen so much that has nothing to do with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Just me. Guest guest
Hi, You are right to keep the humor going. After all, isn't laughter the best medicine? I would like you to keep the humor going. Some people may not appreciate it, but as their disease progresses they will find out that they will learn to enjoy having something to laugh about. You keep it up girl!!!! Ila <sewcraftyila@...> wrote: HiYou are correct. Guest guest
Hi, I've liked the jokes you post so well I've forwarded them on to people on my email list. I hope you continue to do so. It kind of helps even if it is for just a minute. Thanks, Susie beth haven <mayfrog1963@...> wrote: hi i like to read things that make me smile. you should keep on posten things that make me and iam sure others smile. we deal with pain and depression on a everyday bases that it is nice to smile. so please don't stop. some of us need to smile. hope all has a good day. thanks bethIla <sewcraftyilametrocast (DOT) net> wrote: HiYou are correct. Guest guest
Welcome and I agree that there hasn’t been much RA discussion lately. However, I do think humor also helps our disease but should not shut out medical discussions. The muscle weakness and tremors don’t sound like RA to me (but I’m not medically trained). They may be part of another autoimmune disease like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia. If our autoimmune system is out of whack it often shows up as more than one disease. Fortunately many of them are treated essentially the same way. A site I like for general information about RA is http://www.arc.org.uk/about_arth/booklets/6033/6033.htm and I hope it helps you. If you tell us more about your disease and treatment someone may be able to offer suggestions that you can discuss with your doctor. God bless. I have a very aggresive form, and I just want to hear of some good ole advice. I am having a really hard time this morning with muscle weakness and tremors. Does anyone else have that problem?
