Guest guest Posted March 31, 2006 Report Share Posted March 31, 2006 Annette - A quick update on the throat issue: On March 24th my rheumatologist told me that there is no such thing as arthritis on the throat!! I still think ENT was right. I do know that this issue came on strong once I went off prednisone in fact all my joints were inflamed..once I went back on prednisone for a period of 1 week this issue went away..it's coming back again but not as strong this time. I told my doctor MTX alone is not working for me. He said according to blood test RA factor is better but that in addition to RA I also have osteo arthritis and bursitis. He kept me on the 15mgs of MTX and added piroxicam for the pain. Sometimes I wonder if my brain tumor came about because my immune system is just shot. March 17th had my 1 year post-op MRI/Surgeon follow-up: Original tumor is coming back and also have a new one (luckily they are slow growing / benign & hope they stay that way).
