Guest guest
no but I've been thinking about it. I'll just add it to my list Helen P. I was reading in an RA brochure from the Arthritis Foundation that if you take prednisone, it's a good idea to wear an alert bracelet or something. I started thinking about all of my ailments and meds and such and decided it was a good idea. I'm getting a pendant and wallet card. The hospital or medics can call a 24 hour number and get all of my medical info and contacts quickly. Do many of you have medic alert jewelry? Darlene How low will we go? Guest guest
what do you think of medic alert ? did you have a choice as to what company you were going to sign with ? i think it's a greyt idea (especially for those of us who live alone or at least without any other humans in the home lolol) but the people were so pushy and so obnoxious that i basically told them i wasn't interested and to stop calling me with their hard sell techniques. bon/boys > > I just ordered a medic alert account with all of my info so that if I'm in > an accident they can access my info quickly. Guest guest
k, thanks. the one i'm talking about is one that has a bracelet you wear at all times also but you can call for help whenever or even just for assistance if you need it . . . . it's a really greyt service and although expensive, i think prolly well worth the peace of mind but i'm not quite ready for it yet. i know something could happen over a weekend but hopefully i could get to a phone and during the week, if i didn't show up for work, they'd send someone to the house so i feel somewhat okay with that for now. thing is, like i said, when i called for info, the guy was so totally obnoxious i figure he was prolly a used car salesman in a past life or two <g> so i'd have to do a bit more research and see if i could come up with a different company. of course i'm having a senile moment and can't remember the name of this one but i do have the literature at home . . . . . . . bon/boys > > > > I just ordered a medic alert account with all of my info so that if > I'm in > > an accident they can access my info quickly.
