8 hourly dosing round the clock for minmum of 3 days, as its easier then

waking at night to dose, I usually do 5 day rounds.

I would start with 1-3 drops per arm for first round and work up slowly, I

topped out at 22 drops and I am 200 pounds, my son who has done many many

rounds of DMSA/ALA and is 120 pounds plus does 20 drops per dose FWIW

I could only access Buttar drops, never tried the cream but if you have

choice of getting oral I would go for that instead

Look in the files to see Andy's protocol. (And other educational material.) DMPS

can be dosed every 8 hrs. Be careful of the doseage, because DANs dose

significantly higher than the AC protocol. From Andy_protocol: " Reasonable

dosages are 1/8 to 1/2 mg per pound for each of ALA, DMSA and DMPS " . Don't give

your child a higher dose than this.

As for transdermal, it is not recommended, but I know people who do it. We did

it with our youngest when he would not take anything by mouth. Otherwise, I

don't see the sense in it, especially with something being given every 8 hours.

I would just put oral DMPS in a little juice and give it to the child.
