Migraines and Dealing With RA

So did I! I had my first one at 4 years old, and remember it clearly. I had a bad reaction to caffergot and years ago that was the only thing for it, so I just assumed there was nothing I could do. I would go for days with that horrible throbbing and nausea, working or whatever, and just gritting my teeth and holding on. I finally mentioned to my primary care physician that I got migraines, and she immediately prescribed it. It was a true miracle drug -- I have a whole new life with it. Nothing I've ever experienced or had done has been as bad as the pain from those(I even had bladder surgery under a local anesthetic and it didn't come close). In an ironic way, it equipped me to deal with RA a whole lot easier. I've learned to watch for the aura and be aware of what's happening, and I can prevent almost 99% of them. I'm also getting less of them too. I've been on it for about ten years.
