Guest guest
Does anyone have expertise about how to implement chemical free cleaning in the home or toxins that we can reduce in our environment? Guest guest
Kirkman's (www.kirkmanlabs.com) is where we get some things. We do not use chemical fertilizers on our farm. We rarely eat any food that comes from cans. We do not use any coated cooking pans. I do not store food nor cook in aluminum foil. We buy a natural deodorant from Whole Foods. We would never again buy an antiperspirant, and read labels and call companies trying to avoid aluminum. Lemon juice is a good hand sanitizer and either that or vinegar mixed with water is a good counter top cleaner. You just have to eliminate a few things at a time and eventually you get to where you want to be. From there you would move further to considering what is worn and put on the beds etc... what type of flooring... Dr. H. Rea runs the Environmental Health Clinic in Dallas, and he has written a good book on building healthy houses. Haven

You can add " distilled water " as a non-toxic staple to my cleaning supplies list. It's cheap and shockingly effective. I tried it based on a suggestion from this list and found many more uses for it than the original suggestion (cleaning mirrors). HTH.
