A couple of years ago, she had surgery done for the cts using a new technique, and is doing fine. If you want more info, let me know. Speaking of the Vet...I saw her today under unfortunate circumstances. Our 9 yr-old Golden Retriever, Molly, is severely ill...we believe unrelated to her LD. She has been violently vomiting for 2 days. Vet took bloods and gave her fluids, compazine and abx injections. I didn't want to leave her in the animal hospital with no one to watch her over the weekend, so I brought her home and my daughter and I will give her the fluids and abx injections. We think that she ate something nasty outside and are hoping that that is all it is....She is a sweetie, and needs our prayers. You may already be familiar with Neurontin - I actually have been using it for whiplash related injuries, but it's prescribed for neurologic symptoms - in particular the pain and numbness. Also, my sister ( the one who's got the lyme) is a shiatsu practitioner, and carpel tunnel is one of the conditions she treats on a regular basis. I'd really recommend checking out some form of alternative therapy before you even consider the surgery. She's actually here visiting for a change, and wants me to quote her on her treatment methods: " Carpel tunnel is extremely easy to treat. Usually there's intense muscle tension in the upper back between the scapulas. Doing deep massage there as well as on the forearms and wrists is the technique that has been 100% effective in my practice.
