I guess they can't put you under, in case of complications, they want you to be concious, but they could have certainly sedated you. I was reading somewhere from a patient whose doctor "missed" on the first try and had to do it again. He described great pain. My doctor used an ultrasound to help guide him. I was quite uncomfortable an hour or so after the procedure and for the next 24 hours, but that was it. These past few months have been more stressful than any I can remember in a long time. We're going into t National Forest in a tent and out of range even for cellphones. I and a half more workdays.
