Guest guest
Hi, I just picked up my medication myself and have been very worried about the same thing. I got my 4 shots and 150 pills for the month. A $2,500.00 value for $22.00. Whew!!!! Rhonda [ ] Cost of Treatment > Can anyone give me an idea of what the Interferon medication cost > per month. Guest guest
My peg-interferon is $1500 for four shots. Make sure you check around and see which pharmacy is the cheapest. Also, if you get the type that isn't pre-mixed, it may be cheaper. Barbara > Can anyone give me an idea of what the Interferon medication cost > per month. Guest guest
It's not cheap... My pharmacist told me that a two week supply was over $700. Though I was on the old combo and had to inject 3x wkly. This also included the ribavarin. -dz- <jgee@...> wrote: Can anyone give me an idea of what the Interferon medication cost per month. Guest guest
, I don't know what it cost now. In 2002 it was around $2800 a month. But I thank it has come down. I hope this helps you. I am also a 1a, 49 year old woman, Caucasian. I also have probably had hepC for 30 years. I run a full time daycare out of my home, I have 6 children under the age of 6 and my side effects have been manageable. Not everyone has manageable side effects, so it is up to you as to how bad or good the sides are. I had a bout with anemia and my doctor gave me an injectable drug called procrit. My co pay is 140.00 a month for 4 weeks of tx. I also pay a co pay of 130.00 a month for 4 weeks of the procrit. Welcome and if you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
