Guest guest
Hurah for Lynn!! You made it sister!! Your first shot is down. Thank goodness, right?? I'm happy to hear that the sides haven't kicked your butt. Congrats on the water too. Hurah again!! It is creepy to giver yourself the shot, and I handle needles all the time!! (I draw blood for a living...) I hesitate every time before I give my shot. Maybe it will get easier...I hope so. I hope your initial fear is gone, Lynn. I'm keeping you in my thoughts. Hugs, Barbara ps...I've just made it through my first week back to work!! Yipee!! > Hi, I gave myself my first shot today at about 9:30 am. I work nights so I was getting ready to go to sleep. I was so scared I called a friend who had to go through TX for 1 year and a half (he is virus free so far!). He came over and reassured me and I did it! It was creepy giving myself a shot! So far I feel absolutely fine. I took some advil before I went to bed and some when I got up at 4pm and some more about 8pm. I have heard that tylenol is very hard on the liver. Is that true? Anyway, I always feel kind of run down on sat after I've worked on Fri night and not gotten a lot of sleep and that's how I feel. So...I didn't make any plans for the weekend and I'm just chillin' watching tv and making some candles. Laying low. Thanks for your support y'all. Barbara, I'm drinking a lot of water for me, hopefully I can work up to as much as you're drinking and sharon thanks. Guest guest
Good morning everybody, I have to admit that once it got to the point of giving myself the shot I freaked. I'm glad I was with my Dr. as he was very understanding and talked me through it. I was surprised at my reaction! as I thought I was ok. But I also think I'll be ok now as the first one is the scariest. I'm doing great with the pills, no reactions so far. I started them Friday night. It's good to have all of you here to talk to, to hear success stories and to share our fears. I'm glad to hear everyone is doing fine so far. Have a great day!! Guest guest
It's true that tylenol is a little hard on the liver. Most doctors do recommend it before taking the shot. I think it may depend on your doctor and/or the relative condition of your liver. Scheuring-Plough included tylenol in their little kit they supplied with the Be-in-charge program. Good luck with the rest of your treatment. -dz-Lynn <OMySister@...> wrote: Hi, I gave myself my first shot today at about 9:30 am. I work nights so I was getting ready to go to sleep.
