Dave not just prayers but the reality that when it is your time the Lord wil take you regardless if you are ready or not or even if you feel you have taken precautions against it...He works in his own time so no matter how we may feel he will take us when he is ready but I feel especially us with Hep C were put on this earth for a special reason. Who knows maybe we were all put here to console one another...to meet new people or just to get out of a hum drum life...I know I needed this group when I found you all and my life was boring...now I get up each day having something to look forward to instead of just dwelling on my illness...My heart does go out to those lost in the WTC but I couldn't help but feel it was their time..God was there...My beleifs may not be the same as yours but this is how I feel so Anthrax and terrorists don't scare me..All I want is to see my children as often as I can in case he does take me before I feel I am ready!!!

Me too Dave...I learned a long time ago not to question his works...I stay to myself...try not to cause pain to anyone...and take care of my own...I've gained a couple of pounds since off tx...I think I will have to try something instead of just letting this dragon regain strength..I can't let that happen...I'll try the milk thistle probably...I wish you luck with your treatment especially since you don't have that much longer left..It may not mean much but I am proud of you to keep hanging in there Dave..Wish I had the strength mentally to do the same.

I think I have accepted the fact that God's plan is

way too complicated for me to figure out and that's

ok, I just try to make sense of the world around me as

best I can and go about my day to day life. My faith

in God gives me comfort in the midst of a world mad

with violence and hatred. -dz-

I agree Dave. I also think the good people far outnumber the bad. Keep

spreading kindness and compassion - it's the only thing that makes sense.

We buy the chopped root from an herbal supplier and I grind it up in the electric coffee mill and fill the capsules myself. I have only heard good things about it.

Jan,

I feel the same way that you do.... I also believe that no matter

what we do when our time is up it is up... I try to keep myself eating

healthy and not pushing it, but look at me... Don't smoke , I eat all

the right foods and I get diaganosed with emphysema and hardening of the

stomach Aorta.... Makes you wonder don't it? I would probably be dead if

I smoked, drank and ate foods that I shouldn't... LOL... Party Time ;o

hahaha

Depression is the worse part of it all.. I know I deal with many bouts of it myself..I'm not one who cries often but I do go without answering my door for days on end..Hubby and daughter are lucky at times to get very much out of me..That's the sad part..They deserve better than that..I think depression is the hardest to fight...

Hey do you all want a good laugh this morning??? Here it goes...My brother is 40 yrs. old and he and my hubby were walking in the yard the other day and would you beleive a bird flew over and pooped on his arm??? I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants..He said "Sis I am 40 yrs. old and this is the first time it ever happened to me"..To get me back my neice has a taco bell dog too and it ran up to me the other day and peed on my leg....Geez what is the world coming to when a bird poops on one and a dog pees on the other..Needless to say my brother laughed at me too..Sorry but I was thinking of the Falcon pic!!!!

My godfather was put on a diet at one time and he came to our house saying how he hated having to starve himself..He always looked healthy and strong until that time...I remember me and my family speaking of how bad he looked when he left and my dad said he would rather die happy and full than miserable and thin....My godfather passed away 3 months later on Christmas Eve during a hunting trip of heart failure...Makes me think which one is best?? Do we go without to try to keep our bodies healthy and be aggrevated or do we make ourselves happy by doing and eating what we want..Like you said Dave "Look at the WTC victims"

Dave I guess there comes a time when we need to put our feelings on hold just to let our loved ones know we do love them and it's not their fault we are like this...As far as taking anti-depressants.I have quit that too but really feel I need to get back on them regardless of how they make me feel...Maybe I'd be more sociable more often!!! I can remember a time that as soon as my hubby would leave for work I'd lock my gate until he came home and not answer my phone either..He just didn't understand..I did that for 4 days...

I hate to admit I am one of THOSE people that laugh at others when something happens..I know it's wrong but I am also first to laugh ay myself when I trip or a dog pees on me...I have never been zapped by a bird though..If you knew how my brother is..He doesn't get upset and is very slow speaking..It was funny just to hear him talk about it..I laughed and told him I would have given anything to see it happen to him..Well God don't sleep..that's when the dog got me...It was still funny though........

Kids say the darndest things!!! Words from the mouths of babes leave such a mark don't they??

Yes but only 3 a day. I was not part of the trial and have always paid full

price for it (around $80/month)

I take the same amount of milk thistle but probably should take more. The

only other med I take is Levoxyl for an underactive thyroid. I use soy milk

on my cereal and like it a lot and also use stevia. I have been taking

indomethacin (anti-inflammatory) for painful gout or tendonitis in my elbow.

Want to know what brand of under arm deodorant I use also? :-)

Have a nice day.

We sure do. Depression is something I have had to deal with and it is one of the worst things I have encountered since contracting this disease.

Look on the bright side.

Mennen Speed Stick Fresh Scent but that's all the personal info I'm giving.

I could get myself into trouble (and probably cause many laughs) :-)

You have the strength to do what you think is best for

you and your family. We know the reactions to this

medication vary widely and some people's bodies

tolerate it better than others. It doesn't necessarily

have anything to do with mental toughness. I think

that the mental toughness comes in keeping a positive

attitude in spite of all the troubles we find

ourselves facing -dz-

I think you're right about good people. We witnessed

some of that in the wake of the WTC tragedy. We saw

how much we really do love each other. This coming

from New York, which is not really known for being

overly friendly. Random acts of kindness can do a lot

for us. -dz-

I guess we all know that our bodies will not last

forever. We can do certain things to give our bodies

the best chance we can, but think of all the people

that were in perfect health on 9/11 and were wiped

out. I remember talking to my Grandpa on the phone one

Thanksgiving day, he had been out shoveling snow at 86

years old. When I teased him about it, he told me he

wanted to make sure he died in good health. He passed

away about 2 months later. -dz-
